Their key goal is simply to sell you the product.

All the rest is just moving towards that goal.

once you understand that, there's really nothing worth frothing about.

don't buy their games if you don't like their practices.

All businesses are trying to sell a product, it doesn't excuse ridiculous business practices. If I got sold a broken phone by a man in the street, it'd be illegal. But when EA sell broken software and falsely advertise it, it's considered "making money".

I do agree with Amaryl in the sense of, just don't buy their stuff. Which is what a lot of people have been doing, and EA have had a significant drop in profit and shares due to this.

Hopefully it moves them to action. For instance they abolished their "Online Pass" scheme today.

To all of you who wanna try different games, i'm gathering a team of 3 more players to buy Guns of Icarus online through steam, it's cheaper then getting it with a single key

I wouldn't get that spying crapmaking junkmachine if they so offered me a billion bucks to get it. Yes, you read me right, SPYING. Spyware to report you for publicly viewing movies if there happens to be too many people at a party that wants to check a movie, even as the machine is turned off it gathers information for Microsoft. Military personel use their X-boxes to call home and such. What if someone accidentally mentions military movements/secrets in a room with an X-box One? I would like to declare a ban on both Microsoft and that machine if I had any power to do so, because quite frankly that scares the shit out of me.

Eh, I've already got a good bunch of "quirky" indie games to play through, wouldn't want to add another to that pile before I finish at least some of them (Amnesia should be number one on that list, now that I think about it!)...and that is to say that I do have fondness for games like that (though I'm one of those people, who thinks that there can be too much "retro"/pixel art used in games...) but certainly won't mind blasting through an AAA-game either, especially one by Naughty Dog.

I wouldn't say Thomas was Alone is "retro". It just very simplistic in the aestetic and concentrates fully on gameplay and story. (Also, I believe it was made by a one person team or something. Easier and cheaper to only work with blocks then!)

Good game, though. Not as good as the Wind Waker, or as good as a sequel to the Wind Waker might have been, but it's good. It's definately got its own identity, which is more than we can say from certain other titles in the series.

Personally I'd like it if i can replace the 5 different units i have attached to my TV be replaced with one.

I won't buy an Xbone, mainly for the kinect reason.
