Heroes of Might and Magic worked like a dream, even though I'm uncertain whether it is properly balanced or not.

HoMM IV is quite about the worst in the series (decent enough on it's own) if you like it at all I really really recommend giving Heroes 3 or 5 a go then.

So I watched a bit of DotA 2 footage.
First thing was WHY DO THE CHARACTERS BOB AROUND SO MUCH ON CHAR SELECT?
It's like they all have really bad breathing problems.
Other than that, it just looked like shiny LoL with less clear lanes and more jungles

You hate LoL because you didn't understand it, which is clear from all your LoL related posts. Razz

I've played Dota2 and it's LESS shiny than LoL. xD LoL is much more colourful. Dota2 gameplay was really slow in my opinion, but that's because I'm an aggressive play-style sorta gal. I eventually found a hero to match my style and killed everything. I prefer LoL I think.

I don't hate LoL :3 It was alright, just not my thing. Blame my old computer that could only run RTS games for five years and putting me off :3
(yes, LoL is a MOBA, not an RTS, but it's same camera angle and controls)
By shiny I mean like, improved graphics, not as much "aesthetic appeal"

I also heard a HL:Deathmatch bleep in DotA. Tsk tsk

I used to like DotA back in Warcraft 3. Though, I just can't get back into it after playing so much LoL. I havn't played DotA 2, so I don't have a say in the matter.

Resident Evil Raccoon City is quite crap on a PC. Or... well, the movements are. The animations are also crap. I've played it for an hour or so and it's just... ngn. Overall the gameplay isn't that great, especially to a perfectionist like myself. I'm disappointed, to say the least. But then again, this is the first RE game I've played on a PC.

Balance but it also has a "Will never pull it back" point. If the enemy carry is fed and yours isn't, you're 98% screwed. It puts a lot of pressure on the game and I've always found DotA to be a lot more intense and lacks the fun value imo, of something like LoL

Tbh, incase you mean that "some champions are OP", then yes. It's unbalanced. For you it might seem like that, I don't see that however. It all depends on the player. I've seen people fail miserably at playing Akali. Incase a person is very good at the game, any champion will seem OP. I consider myself a good Ashe or Annie player, which are some of the oldest champions in the game. They havn't been touched, really.

Example: There's one champion that I just can't lane against on solotop. That's Riven. I just can't. I have no clue how to counter her. None. Yet I see people slapping her silly.

Of course, there are bad Rivens in the game, so they end up failing anyway. The game isn't unbalanced, the players are.

I can't call DotA balanced. Some champions have completely retarded advantages and damage outputs than others. Something you can avoid in LoL if you're smart, but not in DotA where most spells have a ridicilous range.

He's in every DotA 2 game I play, and he enjoys sitting in the jungle with his pals and hisridiculously long ranged pull, dragging you out of lane and away from your team.
