Anyhow, Ephitos, having skimmed over it at first glance, you seem to have something well thought out, problem is the enormity, as said the amount of people is hard to do and you seem to have made it a tad complex.

If you were to continue with this I'd suggest cutting down on the amount of members Alliance side to 1 or 2 members a race. It becomes elitist in that regard, yeah, I know, little to do about it, it's not like we have public assemblies in WoW (which, I think would be awesome. Comitia Centuriata and Comitia Tributa <3)

Also making it less complex for accessibility. And in this manner, you would actually have a lore precedent which none of your critics can deny afaik: The Alliance Assembly, though its lore make-up is ehm.. Problematic for cooperation.

Either way, Ephitos (if that is your real name...), it looks and sounds like you'd be better off getting your RP needs sated in platform, out of WoW. I've personally always enjoyed the fact that there's diversity between races (unlike IRL) and the dictators, waging wars and bearing grudges and what have you. That's how much actual politics I want to have in the game.

I know you want this "complicated RP about politics" but seriously, it's easier to get if you just find yourself a new platform that caters to this, rather than changing one already occupied by several hundred people.

Having this said, the risk that I will only answer in Sunny quotes for the rest of this thread is noteworthy.

I've not read everything of this thread, and I'll probably not add anything new.

I myself disagree too with this idea. I think it's really not needed.

1. We have already 4 "councils". Those who have political aspiration can just apply there.

2. If really interracial poltics need to be done, exceptional gathering can be organised. It can be fun, interesting and will requiere less energy and dedication. It's also exeptional so you do not have the time to ge tired of it.

3. There is many project already existing in game which deserve energy and time, and we should focus on that rather than always creating something new.

Whilst the idea is indeed good, gathering 30 people from all nations into a parliament and having them active, with alot of RP that is different than the doings of their own countries nations is pretty hard in my eyes, hell, its hard to keep 7-10 people active at all times, not to mention 30.

Now, a different aspect. I personally never enjoyed lore bending to the extreme, server lore I am alright with, but total disregard of the lore? No, this is not the platform you are looking for. And however, here is probably the main reason why I spammed with so many 'people's' quotes.

This is not the place, not the time, not the enviroment, not the community in which you should bring your own real life ideologies, beliefs and ABOVE EVERYTHING POLITICS AND THEIR PLATFORMS to form something in-game. I can just see how you are trying to push something forth like this, atleast I see it after that lovely other thread.

I personally must say that I cannot wait until you try to rename the following people to: Tirion Marx, Joseph Deathwing, Vladimmir Wrynn. Keep that stuff to yourself.

Geldar, chill, the guy's just making a suggestion, there's nothing wrong with that. He seems to enjoy political RP, he is free to suggest things just like others are free to criticize them and in turn he is again free to defend his idea. I haven't read the entire topic but nowhere do I see him advocating any particular ideology, he's just advocating an idea, there's no need to get that other topic into this (which is also the last I'll state about it lest you insist on talking of that topic right here.).

Seriously, people, chill. We can have animus but do we really need to act like enemies? Do we really have to state that we're expecting bad things from one person, must we resort to personal attacks? I say no, we do not. Attack the arguments, not the poster.

Lastly, I've already stated my idea about it sort of on a theoretical basis but I don't think it'd work in practicality.

I'd not like to be one to go "no u" (who am I kidding, I love "no u"!). But I think it is somewhat understandable that people get upset, considering how insultive Ephitos time and time again act in the threads he make. Might not be his intention at all but, perhaps in that case he should take the time to ponder what he writes a while before publishing it. That way people won't feel inclined to have to defend themselves with the same tone back.

It was a general observation and a call to everyone, Julia, Ephitos included.
