The Dark Arts VS The Holy Light Debate!

When is it?: Wednesday 14th August at 21:00 real time.

Where is it?: Behind the Cathedral.

What is it?: A public debate that involves the Light and the Dark arts. There will be teams of speakers and a topic will be given. This will give people a chance to get their voices heard and points across ICly on their views. (Dark arts: Arcane, Fel, Shadow, Necromancy)

Who may attend?: Any-one! (Speakers will have to approach Jeremias ICly to gain a place as a speaker for the side of the Light or the Dark arts.)

Topic: Which is the most useful in war, the Holy Light or the Dark Arts? (The "for" side is the Dark arts..)

Speakers: Brother Jeremias (Light), Grenier (Dark arts,

Rules:

The "for" side must argue supporting the case; the "against" side must refute these arguments.

The first speakers of each side have 10 - 15 minutes to present their constructive cases.

The next speakers will have a firing round to argue their cases for 40 minutes. (Perhaps longer if it gets interesting, or shorter if its ridiculous.)

Each speaker speaks for 6 minutes. Debaters from the opposite team may ask Points of Information, which the speaker may accept or reject.

IC:

No shouting out your views.

Cheer or shout in agreement to whichever party you agree with.

Respect both speakers.

Any-one being disrespectful will be escorted out.

OOC:

No arguing about lore. IC opinion differs to OOC knowledge.

No debating OOC, this is strictly IC only.

Please prepare your speeches before the event to make it flow a bit faster!
