I've already spent my last real amount of money on a lot of skins/taunts for SMNC since I really like the company making it and want to support them. I'm not sure what else to buy at this moment, I've got absolutely no room for more clothes xD Was just really looking for more variety, I feel like I'm playing the same 2 games all the time xD

Having a lot of fun with Diablo 3, but since the ghost of Max keeps haunting me, I just had to get me something else to play as well...
So I'm now shooting up baddies in Max Payne 3 and let me tells ya, it's pretty effin dope!

Tamp and I are gonna start doing all-nighter playthroughs of our old(ish) games. First one is going to be Dungeon Siege 2, which we for some reason never managed to actually complete... Might film it and do a commentary-as-we-go version for shits'n'giggles.

I'm considering getting Dragon's Dogma. I've heard and seen great things. Anyone got it to confirm it's good?!

From what I've seen, it seems pretty good. I'm getting it next month.

New DLC pack coming up for the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, at no additional charge. Not super-excited, but it might be fun.

The fifa gods have blessed me, went from Division 6 to Division 2 without a single loss. I'm sure this means that some time in the future I'm going to have to drop 4 divisions without winning a game.

Just streamed Dead Space 2 for a hour, lots of screaming was made. Going to edit it and probably upload it to YouTube.

Screaming... From... What scary parts exactly?
Dead Space has never, and will never, be scary.
Unless it was from rage, I can understand that.
Speaking of streaming... Streaman games~
Brocraft.net , blatant advertisement. I stream games there occasionally under the alias Rizual if anyone's interested- not that I think you are, but laying it out there regardless.

Re: The "other game thread"
Tbh, both Dead Space 1 and 2 can and should be at the very least mildy frightening. If they've never been that to you, you're most likely.. well, I shall quote our dear Corleth;
Even though it's from a different game, the same applies to all appropriately executed horror games. And stating; "Dark Space has, and never will be scary" is just plain ignorance, because that is not a fact, it's your opinion, an opinion that is probably flawed due to one or more of the reasons stated above.
Corleth wrote:1: trying to appear edgy and tough
2: isn't playing in the correct atmosphere
3: hasn't played enough of the game
4: is going into the game with the wrong mindset ("i've heard this is so scary, im gonna play it and prove im not scared!")

Re: The "other game thread"
First Dead Space had a mostly spooky atmosphere, but I can't recall being scared in it, 'cept for the usual "monster jumps at your face" scares. Of course there were those few panicy moments, when you're close to death and try to take out the remaining monsters.
Dead Space 2 had even less scare-factor in it, but holy shit if it wasn't a great shooter. Possibly my favourite game from 2011 and we got a whole lot of great games that year.
So yeah, great atmosphere in both, but not really that scary. Or at least not on the level that you would be too scared to play it and all that. Unless you get very icked by some of the visually gnarly moments (especially in the second game).

Dude what? What are you trying to prove here? Dead Space 2 -is- scary. Incase you have killed your nerves, then that's your problem. I for one, have massive problems with horror games. I'm a pussy that way. Nothing wrong with that. Streaming a scary game and actually getting scared while playing it, is more fun for the viewers aswell.Coppersocket wrote:Screaming... From... Also, incase you missed it, I was streaming Dead Space 2, not the first Dead Space.

No, man... Dead Space, both of them aren't scary at all. You must have some really weak nerves if you find that scary. You're the first I've ever met who has claimed it's been scary at all.Eowale wrote:Dude what? What are you trying to prove here? Dead Space 2 -is- scary. Re: The "other game thread"
I reached a very annoying point in Fable 3 (revisiting Xbox games while PC repaired). I only have 3 quests in the whole game left and they're ALL collect quests (gnomes, books and flowers). Want to 100% things, but c b a.
Also been playing a crapload of Skyrim, turns out it's fun once you've not played for a good few months. Finished the Companion questions and finally became.. Not a werewolf xD.

Talking 'bout horror games, Call of Cthulhu had some very lovely stuff in it! Especially that goddamned hotel...too bad the game's buggy as hell, so I don't really have the patience to play it, even if I was lucky enought to get it free during the Steam thingy earlier this year.

Re: The "other game thread"
Amnesia put the bar too high for horror games imo. If you get to have firearms, let alone weapons, the enemies need to be overpowered as hell or the weapons close to useless for me to find it scary nowadays.
Also, iirc trailers to every Hitman game so far have been action and explosion packed, even though gameplay focuses more on subtlety, camouflage and stealth etc, so I'm not too worried about that aspect. The fact that they're adding sexy nuns though... *shudders*

Re: The "other game thread"
Myeah, I'm kinda hoping that only gets added to multiplayer or something. Blood Money had some crazy costumes in a few missions and the series has had (at least in Contracts and Blood Money) some pretty dark/odd (Like that Paul Anka song 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder' playing in that one mission...agh, that's been stuck somewhere in my mind ever since I heard it! Not to mention the whole S&M mission in general is pretty creepy...) and sexualized things in it, but that's going a bit overboard.

With all that talk about horror games, I suppose I should throw in one that isn't.... except if you got a thing for undead clowns.
