For anybody that cares to answer: what would -your- PERFECT game be like?

I want a game that starts you out in the ancient times with a small tribe, and then you can design and develop that to a more modern and modern society, with all the people being named and stuff and royal families arise and fall and you guide them, maybe like a god or something. So uhm, bit of spore, but with much better editors, and a bit of simcity and the sims and Crusader Kings, with let's say SC2 for the RTS combat it would need.

Annnnnd, suddenly I won't be buying SimCity, even if I had been looking forwards toward it.
EA really needs to go down now. That, or figure out that treating fans like shit is bad.

Edit: To clarify here: I think the "flop" for them is not the microtransaction addition. But the move away from survival horror towards a more "Regular" game.
Seriously, Publishers need to realise. Those games are a dime a dozen. Yes, they sell well. But taking a game from somewhere else and reskinning it will seldom turn a profit just with it's name.

Hence why I haven't bought it yet, and ofcourse... it's something moneyrelated, but still. You are all more responsible consumers than me, and I am probably the stereotype in this case... but I buy something because it's fun and it's what I am looking for. I don't have a laptop, so I don't play in the train. I have a steady internet connection and I feel this Simcity is finally one I can properly enjoy without too much micromanagement.

I'm getting the game as soon as it's cracked.
I originally planned on buying it. And having a cracked version for when I'm at the vacation house my family has. Which lies in the woods behind a small mountain.
There's hardly mobile reception, good luck with internet.
A place where I used to LOVE singleplayer games. And last summer played SimCity 4 for the first time at. (Rain rain rain make's a house in the country boring during summer).
That's when SimCity used to be glorious. And the game still looks like a good game. So I'll be entitled.

Also, the reason I'm generally trying to be a responsible consumer is that I belive in a capitalist market.
But such a market doesn't work without responsible consumers. And I'm generally FAR more disgusted by lazy consumers than I am with moneygrubbing capitalsm. If the can exploit idiots, why shouldn't they?

Still, how Short Sighted EA are ... just mindblowing.
Keep mid-tier IPs, keep their fans happy. Make smaller proffits of smaller budjets. And you keep getting money. YEs, it's not money NOW, TODAY. But it's still fucking there.

"Short-Sighted". The best way to describe people in power positions the last 15-20 years (if not longer).

Stop The Presses! Though even if that's the case, the whole "expected to sell five million copies" was still something pretty crazy, that I'm not expecting them to reach. But if they do, I'm not sure I'll be happy about that either, at least if it means taking Dead Space even more towards it's current direction.

I haven't personally played Dead Space 3 yet, except for the demo, but that along with couple of previews/reviews, lowered my expectations from "Imma buy this the moment it's released" to "I might pick this up from sale...", which is a damned shame because of how much I loved the previous games.

SKiDROW has a version up. No torrent yet. I think another group has also managed.
Tomb Raider has also already been leaked.

Basicly, Always on DRM is just a HUGE fucking bullseye to the crackteams. They'll get hands on the games, and then work day and night to fix it. In some cases it's not even hard might just be a single line of code to change.

Haha, EA are pathetic. I remember BF3 launch. I was trying to play til like 4am when I eventually decided to install a crack. Forcing you to wait 30 minutes before attempting to log in again, though... what the fuck. They're so obnoxious.
