So, I play Champions Online when I feel like I had a little bit too much of WoW or when it's being slow. On Champs, you can write your own Info... It doesn't turn out very well some times.
Here's a collection of people who are mighty great people. They should all be inspirations to you in one way or another.

- Spoiler:
The top is the character name, then level and region, then possibly class such as "The Glacier" if they play for free and don't have freeform (means you can build your character however the fuck you want in terms of abilities). the @name at the bottom is their account handle.
"Club Caprice" is basically a RP hub, it's a club, obviously. Lots of "RP" is gathered there, mostly terrible, but there are gems to be found too.
Shit woman, yo smile so alluring... No wait.
From what I gather from the rest of the info, she 'ERP's too, don't ask me how. I don't wanna know.
Notice that this guy can't even spell his own name right.
The main Villain's name is Dr.Destroyer.
Let's make ourselves look as weaboo as possible and claim we're american and use european names and then mix in Japanese in it. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Original Character do not steal!!111

I've stood beside my own alt too, yeah. Copper warrior standing beside Copper Priest, but this person was talking to himself (note @name, it's a guy) RPing like it was a entirely different person.
She was the former first wife. What is she now? I mean, did she degrade into the second wife, did he warp back in time and marry someone before her?
Yeah, I know it's probably that he "divorced her" but that's not how you fucking sentence it.

Re: The "other game thread"
Internet, y u give me 2 beta events over weekend ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
Bounced around London and Kingsmouth in The Secret World yesterday, and was amazed at the quality of world building they've done. GW2 has gone a ways of setting a scene and making the world (in its context) believable, but I'd safely say that tSW has upped that ante a little. Maybe this is due to the modern setting being more relatable than your run of the mill fantasy world, but it definatly made me believe that such a place could sensibly exist.
Story, character writing and the quality of voice acting are on par with tOR, though it treads in the more mature and darker areas you'd associate with Occult happenings and Secret Societies. Listening to Galahad as he regales the conquest of many a fine bossom to an annoyed friend, or a fumbling soothsayer slyly admit she was spared zombification because of plush handcuffs are a treat.
Character animation leaves something to be desired though, it's all very.. meek. Your character is stony and silent, expresions far and between and out of the way characters have a habbit of only wiggling their lips when they talk. Little jarring at times.
Questing is.. different. I'm not entirely sure if I like it. You can only have one 'main' or riddle quest and 3 additional side quests at a time. From the get-go this doesn't seem like much of an issue, till you end up running into additional side quests or NPCs dotted through town with main quests while you're trotting through on your way to the next objective. To remedy this, they added the ability to make custom markers on your map so you can return later, but you still end up spending most of your time running back and fro; especially when you find out the person you returned to sends you back somewhere you've visited earlier. I found myself coming back to a Fire Station on three seperate occasions for example, which was kind of annoying.
Riddles are awesome, by the way. They require both googling (for the meaning, not simply the solution) and extensive exploration of the map to make sense of it, which is a plus if you ask me.
For all their parading of 'no levels' though, you're still just working down an xp bar to get more skill points to improve your abilities and gear with. That's not saying that the skill selection itself isn't interesting - you get 7 active and 7 passive abilities to work with, and it gradually gains depth because of the sheer choise you have. It's much like DC:Universe, to take a recent comparison, with certain ability trees tied to their respective weapons. Flipside being that because of not having a level restriction, you can end up being everything with enough time invested. It makes the point of Alts a little moot, besides maybe wanting to join a different society.
Sadly the combat all these skills work towards feels like a wet towel. Weapons and abilities lack 'punch', character animation just has you standing there whacking meekly at the opponent(s), and it all mostly just boils down to a dull 'Build resource through y, execute through x'. Not to mention Abilities queuing instead of being just reactionary are a massive hassle that could potentially shaft any supposed PvP (not available in the beta).
The last is a big hurdle for the game, perhaps too big to warrant anything more than a purchase (if at all) and only enjoying the first free month. But then again, that's the way most MMOs have been going for me as of late.
Kicking around in the Torchlight 2 Beta aswell. It's awesome. "Why did I buy Diablo again" awesome.

Robbaz is king. I used to get annoyed at the hilariously strong swedish accent, now I just find it funny.

Re: The "other game thread"
Also, don't see the point saving up. The games I've had the most fun with lately are either free (read: SMNC, pissing around in TF2), cheap (Dear Esther kept me involved for far longer than it's short playtime should xD) or were mods/betas

BINDING OF ISAAC. It's hilarious, costs £4 and can be played over and over again. I think you get a different map set, etc, every time you start to play.

Re: The "other game thread"
I didn't say you should save it for other games, but save it for like... other things? You already say you've had the most fun with free games/mods, so why not spend some more time on them?
