Which ones do you have in mind? Cause yes, some heroes right now are borderline overpowered, but you also have to take into account that heroes in dota have different roles, and it shows more so than in LoL. Some heroes are most effective in the 1-20 min mark but are just a one-button teamfight hero after that, some are really hard carries that almost can't do anything till it's lategame, while others scale fairly well throughout the entire map.
What combats overpowered heroes is the raw strategy that comes with dota and not LoL, which is important to consider when you compare the two. What heroes you draft and how you set up your lanes matters a lot. They got one of the really strong solo midders? Consider putting your carry + support vs him mid and compromise your other lanes. In so many games the drafts are even but depending on how the teams set up their lanes can make the game one-sided on its own. As far as I know, LoL lanes are static and pretty much never differ.

I recall playing Axe (this was a fair few months back, yet my first play after a few years, so was new to DotA again). And I was killed by stunlocks from two heroes, who was at safe distance to stunlock me and mash out other abilities, when I was standing just behind my own tower.
It was Sven I think and that Ghost Keeper of the Grove fellah. Didn't feel exactly fair. It reminded me of many similarities from HoN.

I say FUCK THE META in LoL and do whatever the fuck I want. The enemy team generally have an ad carry and a support on bot. We take Riven and Trynda and kick their arses.
I was a solotop AD carry yesterday vs two and I won my lane because they didn't count on a high range, high damage champ on top.

Re: The "other game thread"
Just got signed onto a team for Super MNC's first Tiki Tournament like literally on the day before sign ups close, and I'm in with some of the better players on the game.
Still, even if we make it to the later rounds, awpteamoose, hubris and all the people with 2000+ games are gonna stomp us

Good luck with the tournament Lyn! And yes, Totalbiscuit is amazing. I'd already seen his video of it, so the GOTY joke from Quin was damn hilarious.
Lots of Dawn of War 2: Retribution! Nom. Unhealthy amounts of it even.

This game makes me want to buy a PS3, just so that I can play it.

Re: The "other game thread"
Journey is/was amazing. Possibly one of the best experiences I've had on PS3. It's short, but that's pretty much the only flaw I can come up with (on the other hand, the way they've managed to fill those few hours with so much emotion is a pretty positive thing as well...). The first playthrough, especially if you happen to be lucky enough to do it with the same companion from start to finish, is magical. I wouldn't go as far as to buy PS3 only because of it, but if you already own the console and want a game that's not your average 'mainstream' type, I suggest buying this in a heartbeat.
For anyone thinking it's just a fancy artsy game, I can tell that it's the "most gameish" game thatgamecompany has made. Very easy and smooth to play, without instructions being crammed down your throat.
Also, I've heard mixed reviews 'bout Max Payne 3. Overall they seem positive, though.

Alright, my team is officially in the tournament. But so is a team full of the best players who initially weren't going to play Small community is small.
Imma try and save the replays and put on YouTube for anyone interested, to follow the intrepid adventures of team "Gold Eggs and Bacon"
