Tho that's a point, Outland and tBC races are going to feel really outdated now if try don't edit story etc in those regards.

They said something regarding Draenei and Belf monks and writing it so that they had "always been there".

Maybe Draenei and Belf's will get new models because they can become monks. Maybe the models at the moment don't work for the custom monk animations.
Maybe that's why Goblins and Worgen don't get it, they just did those models.

Atleast Draenei can be shamans.

I can see this for Draenei actually. You simply cannot perform the same kind of kicks with triple jointed legs and hoofs as you can with Human legs and feet.

Night Elf and Blood Elf monks use Demon Hunter training but less fel magic. Called it here.

Theres lots of people wanting the reskinning for old races, I was over at the art panel and the pandaren just looked so amazing. They were talking about being 10-20 in the fact alone, is that also something they are looking into for reskinning the new races?

-Its the one thing we really want to see brought up to the pandaren level. There are about 10 times more bones in the pandaren models compared to the current character models. We dont know when this exactly will happen, because we are still not unsure how to roll this out because some people might not like the new models as much as they do the old models.

They also said in another quote, the haters wont stop them from updating the models in the future.

Too eleborate:

Draenei cant kick forward. Only backwards. I'm curious to see how Blizzard deals with this in their animations. Are Dreanei going to twist around everytime they perform a kick? Like a Horse?

i wonder if it'll be a complete redesign of the models or just a reskin? I wouldn't mind some more options for me to make my toon stand out from the rest, height, weight. Etc, etc.

That is exactly why they don't get monks.
The Dranei and Blood Elf models will be upgraded with the new animations, but not any new geometry.
The 8 vanilla races are likely to get varying degrees of overhaul to their geometry and structure.

This is speculation; it is what I would do.

On Dranei and Blood Elf monks:
How are you guys going to fit Draenei and the BEs getting monks?

Maybe they'll rename some of the skills so they can be used both with hands and feet. Following that the animations of the races might favor certain limbs.

It'll be interesting to see if they try and go for a more realistic model or a more stylized one for the more savage races. Would be cool to see a more savage night elf/orc.

The new updated models better come with free customisation. What happens if an old face suddenly becomes really unfitting for your char, or updated hair doesn't feel your style.

The styling will remain the same, they said in multiple quotes that they want to preserve the same vibe. They'll just get additional bones to support new animations, an vastly updated texture, and minor model alterations to allow for the increased quality in texture. That's it.

Oooh, where did you get that tasty bit from? Is it official concept art? Doesn't look like it.
Though that sketch makes a lot of sense, my point still stands. the "third" joint is comparable to toes bending, which dra-nee-nee don't have.

Heh, nice. I've done my fair share of troll and orc skull-studies myself to try and figure out the anatomy. Basically, trolls should have a reaallly hard time talking with those things sticking out of their cheecks ^^

Soo... Basically blood elves. I'd prefer the Nelf males especially to remain more bulky then their blood elf counterparts.

Not exactly, The Night elves are described to be tall and lean, athletic, but not exactly bursting at the seems. The blood elves are considerably more petite with a more half and half thing going on between the torso and the legs. Night elves would have longer legs and a grander stature.

Female Night elves are quite amazonian in their build, or at least should be. Although of course they're going to be exceptions to that.
