No. Everyone Unenjoys some petit part of it, complaining about that, and enjoys the rest. When singing in unison, this gives the impression everyone hates everything.
No. The internet is just full of masochists.

So as someone who has been away from the computer for a week.... Hows blizzcon this year in a nutshell? Dont have time to read all these pages and there has to be a good story here somewhere of some kid being fucked up by doing an undead dance like last year, yes... no?

Morinth! Thou shall admire Pandas! Pandas shall conquer Azeroth and Outland through cuteness and brews. We shall get everyone so drunk, they won't be able to stand up. Death to whoever isn't a Panda!

I understand where your coming from Drustai it's just I feel from the majority of the 1-85 levelling experience your made to feel like "The Chosen One". I don't think it makes sense in the type of genre of game we play. I prefer the raid dungeon style to it. Like your character is one in an army of others, a nameless fighting evil known as a hero of azeroth. Like when the Lich King fell the official statement being the heroes of both Horde and Alliance, accompanied by Sylvanas, Varian, Garrosh, Jaina and Tirion stormed the Icecrown citadel and defeated the Lich King.
Yeah not all lore characters are amazingly developed but I don't think they're horrible either. I see the universe of Warcraft holding many over the top and almost unimaginably powerful characters, but that's just the setting we chose to enjoy. It's not a realistic fantasy endeavour by any means (As far as fantasy goes). From the days of warcraft 3 you could see this.
I'd prefer to be a nameless within the lore (Because of the genre we are in) and work along side these characters as opposed to having it not make sense and having the official blizzard word being "A random hero that nobody knows the identity of saves the world". I like the direction they are going with the new lore quests.
In the past you'd still get quests working for people like Tirion, Thrall, Sylvanas yet all they ever amounted to where quest givers. Now look at the Thrall questline in 4.2, I'd say that method was a much needed upgrade to having him standing in Orgrimmar and you go out and do this stuff. I reckon it's a lot more immersive and a good way to push a story long in an MMO genre where not everything can be updated daily on a wide scale where story is concerned.
I feel people are hating Varian for the book they released, I haven't read it yet but he is king and the leader of the Alliance technically. He's not going to be your average joe. He shouldn't be left in the dark and the only way to portray that in-game is to have you be there alongside him. I agree with Metzen that he needs some loving and I agree with Blizzard that this is -currently- the best option when concerning story progression other than raids and mainstream levelling quests.

But yes, this is very true. It's natural that a game cannot and will never appease to every single of its players in every single aspect. That's why there are several games on the market
What? You don't enjoy the combat system but you like the storyline? You can choose a completely different one for the combat part. You want to be the super duper hero of the entire virtual world? Single player games offer that more often than not. There's really enough games out there to satisfy everyone needs, just none yet that can satisfy EVERY need of absolutely EVERYONE. And let's face it, that's not likely to happen any time soon either.
Only when enjoying more than one aspect of a game is said game worth the while for me and in that case I'm purposely shutting an eye to ignore the aspects that displease me. So instead of being frustrated about not having things, I make my choices and enjoy what I do have. It's the only way to have fun

Every aspect of wow pleases me. Except for outland. Though it's individual parts and designs are great, the lack of unison has always bothered me. Northrend is by far the best continent in the game at the moment, a unified art style, a flow between areas that makes sense, gear all neatly synchronised to that single art direction... That was lovely. BUT. I personally didn't care for the gloomy depressiness of the cold north very much.
Now we get the same idea, a brand new continent with a unified art style; except now it's a happy place. Consider me a resident of pandaria, bitches!

I can imagine a pvp event, pandaren on both sides, afterwards the pandaren get together and have a drink.

*makes bunch of horde pandaren, occupy all the dwarven breweries*
Edit:
I hope this doesn't mean that there will be High Elves in the future for both sides.

By aspects I mean PvE, PvP, lore, community, game company powered in-game events etc. Not the expansionsDelidah / Scuzy wrote:Every aspect of wow pleases me. Except for outland. Once Delidah is chained down by Tsurana, they shall venture to Pandaria together! Also take Thelos with them, if he feels up for that company.

In case anyone missed the most important news:
They are working on upgrading the vanilla player models. For reals.

So atm it sounds like there'll be nothing regarding Draenei, Belves and their respective starting zones then?

I don't think so. But the belf models hardly need upgrading; they are fine as is. Though flying in belf zones would be appriciated.
I mean lets be honest for a moment; especially the night elf and troll models are so outdated they are an eyesore, their blocky hands and faces pertruding through the super-detailed fancy armor models... It just looks... Awefull.

I dont think so, Kristeas. For now, these zones will still be stuck in time. The Exodar will still be crashing every few minutes.

Re: Blizzcon 2011 (October 21-22nd)
I just sorta realised that no matter my opinion on MoP, I WON'T be able to play when it comes. My PC has the most appallingly small hard drive, and WoW already takes up a third of it.
And I'd rather buy a new PC than an extra hard drive.
Tho that's a point, Outland and tBC races are going to feel really outdated now if try don't edit story etc in those regards.
