I know what is to come, so whenever I watch the series it feels like the story isn't moving forwards. Ever since the Ghost of Harrenhall (Ep5). Is it just me, or do you also feel like it is a bit too bogged up?
- Spoiler:
- I think that sometimes they swap scene from a character to another too quickly, and that sometimes some characters doesn't get enough seen in an episode, or too much (Yeah, you Jon walking around with your snowwhoresavage) but one thing is certain, without having read the book I can safely say the House of the Undying is being held of for the season finale.

Yep House of the Undying was confirmed for Finale I think, also should'nt Asrtan and Belwas appear soon(ish)?
Anyways this was pretty numb rounding it up episode in my opinion and I still don't like cutting off Reek :<

- Stuff concerning Season 3:
- I've seen a list of extras wanted for season 3. This includes amputees of all sorts.
I seem to remember a ... goat with a following, off sorts. That might like that.

- Spoiler:
Since they don't want to hire actors for just few scenes, I guess Belwas and Asrtan are moved entirely to Season 3.

Both of the characters appear after the House of the Undying, I believe. It happens right at the end of the book.Melnerag wrote:

- Show, characters.:
- When it comes to characters I'm mostly worried about Jojen and Mera, hoping they won't be replaced with Rickon and Osha. Those butterfly wings would likely have major effects on what happens later down the line.

Episode 9 was great. I think they have captured the atmosphere just great. Although, to my memory, wasn't the Battle of Blackrush fought during daytime in the book?
Shame that Loras got so little time, if I didn't know what to look for (and to look at all) I would not have noticed that he was indeed wearing Renly's armor.
Also. Green Fire. Sophyra approves!

Yes and there was no chain, and there was no sea-battle, and the entirety of blackwater-bay wasn't covered with wild-fire but just one fireship that exploded., but who cares?

If I remember right they did attack during the night / early morning and the dawn rose during the battle. Tide as rising and all that.
Good episode overall.

Also, I loved that the episode was focused on a single set of characters for a change. Imho, much better than spreading attention over Lannisters, Starks, Danny, Stannis and Arya. But then, it would be impossible to make the series if you focus an episodes on a single 'theater'.

Really liked Rains of Castamere at end, shame no one who has not read the books won't get it at all.

The Battle wasn't fought during the daytime in the books, but an old Film/TV rule of thumb is that all battles look better during the night. Look at the flaming arrows, the burning ships, the seemingly unending hordes of soldiers from the black fog. Night time is the best time to shoot a war scene without spending 50 million.
Incredible episode though, captured it perfectly. I thought the lack of chain would lessen Tyrion's importance to the war, but they managed to show how well a tactician he is.

I loved this episode :'D
Though I wonder, did the Hound "desert" 'cause of what happened to him as a boy? Pressed against flames? And all the flames over the sea sort of caused him to freak out?
I didn't like to see Tyrell with Tywin, fucking gay bastard I respected him 'till now.
Also loved how the episode wasn't switching so much (though having to see abit from elsewhere wouldn't have hurt too much.) Anyway, so epic nonetheless. I hope Tyrion doesn't die, he was just sliced across the face damnit. (Don't spoil that for me, btw.)

I think the next episode will focus on everyone else and we won't see King's Landing till next year!

I was very amused by the Hounds general reaction throughout the entire episode.
- Spoiler:
- Torch flares close to Hound. Hound backs off two feet.
Hound watches fleet burn. Terrified and shitting bricks
Flaming arrows about to be shot. "Incase any of those flaming-fucking-arrows comes close to me, I'll strangle you with your own guts!
Flaming guy runs towards Hound.
Hounds reaction: "Oh fuck me, really?!"

Episode nine was damn good. Spoilers regarding it:
- Spoiler:
- The explosion on the Blackwater was a tad over the top for my taste, but nevertheless.
I liked the Hound deserting scene. Joffrey's reaction was quite amusing. Heck, I even felt a pang of sympathy for Cersei towards the end. One of the few scenes in which she actually shows her capability to have feelings. Though my first thought at that 'Throne Room' Scene was that she was completely bloody mad.

ANd great episode. Love the small change in Tyrions wounding. Considering make up issues etc.
