Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
Hmm... some interesting mini-lore tidbits in the boss notes released recently.
Blackrock Foundry
Auchindoun
Very interesting... and also a possible set-up for the next expansion perhaps after WoD?
Blackrock Foundry
- Spoiler:
- The Iron Maidens
With little opportunity to exercise her tactical brilliance under the ancient social structure of the orc clans, Gar'an was thrilled to be one of the first warriors to volunteer for naval duty under the Iron Horde. Instantly successful in battle, she was named Admiral of the Iron Horde fleet and selected Marak and Sorka as her lieutenants. Together, they are called The Iron Maidens - and have crushed any who have dared face them in battle.
Auchindoun
- Spoiler:
- Azzakel, Vanguard of the Legion
On Argus - the former homeworld of the Draenei, now the stronghold of the Burning Legion - Azzakel waits, poised for a servant of the Legion to open a portal to one of the countless worlds they seek to invade. As Soulbinder Nyami lowers the defenses of Auchindoun, Azzakel senses that his services will soon be employed towards the destruction of the holiest of Draenei temples.
Overview - Azzakel alternates between engaging players directly in combat and summoning reinforcements from the demon world Argus. While summoning reinforcements, Azzakel cannot be attacked and players should focus on quickly defeating the reinforcements that emerge from the portal, so that they are not overwhelmed as more demons invade.
Very interesting... and also a possible set-up for the next expansion perhaps after WoD?

I sincerly hope my "past Kil'jaeden and current KJ figures out the timelineportal-stuff and team up to make azeroth BURN in the next expansion" comes true. Legion is cool. Velen's army of the Light-project is cool.

I just don't get it. Why would there be two Kil'jaedens? Did he used to hang around Draenor in the past, why?

What if our Kil'jaeden consumes their KJ's powers, making him a much greater threath.

Guys, guys. Are you forgetting something?

He's alive in the past.
Two KJ's and one Archimonde to break Azeroth a new Ahole!

Isn't Archimonde (and Kil'jaeden) in Argus, not Draenor? Atleast thats what i always had thought..

It's the past though? Not past Draenor, past.

You can obviously easily travel the geographical distance between past argus and draenor, and thanks to all the shenanigans we players will unleash on past draenor, it's not exactly going to be hard to guess for very powerful demons that something's up there.

We are not going past time, past draenor is coming to this day. And this way Argus stays the way it is atm. Mh?

No one is coming anywhere. O_o There's a portal. Connecting two places.
When you step through it, you're on past draenor, and whatever that entails for their surroundings.
Blizz has even said that Kil'Jaeden skipped going to Nerzhul (due to Garrosh's changes) and went straight for Gul'dan. And I'm feeling like that means past-Kil'Jaeden.

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
Past Argus and past Draenor are connected, by the actual space they both exist in. They coexist in "past universe" geographicly not portal-timeliney. "Past universe" is connected to "Present universe" by portal, and thus becoming a part of "present reality".Tantzui wrote:We are not going past time, past draenor is coming to this day. My own reasoning, but in a box wrote:
I'll try listing my reasoning:
Past Draenor = Small part of "Past universe"
Past Argus = Another small part of "Past universe"
Outland, Azeroth and the things we know = Parts of the "Present universe"
-----GARROSH TRAVELS THROUGH TIME AND SPACE-----
"Past universe" and "Present universe" are now linked.
"Past universe" + "Present universe" = the new "Present reality"
Within that given "Present reality" you can find both "past Argus" and "present Azeroth"
That is my understanding of the situation. As far as I can tell, few but überpowerful demon lords will be able to take advantage of this, due to the great distances and overall impractical nature of it all.

Here is the easiest way I know how to explain time travel.
He went back in time and created a new dimension by changing shit, nothing will happen to our timeline. Just watch Back to the Future.

Except that our time is being invaded by brown orcs from the past, of course.
History repeating itself!

This is wrong in every sense of it, as far as I can tell. Our timeline and world is now a part of the "new dimension", or it wouldn't matter, and we wouldn't bother doing anything about it, and the new expansion would be called Warlords of [insert name of Old Content].

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
According to Blizzard, we're not time traveling in the way that we're going back in time. We're time traveling in the way that we're bringing old draenor forward to our point in time. It's becoming part of our present world, we're not going back to it.

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
I think I've argued my point of view enough. This discussion proves rather well how much you break your fictional universe, and reader/player comprehension, when you allow timetravel in any form at all.

Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
Only the very few people that over-think it.
"Brown orcs are coming to kill all our shit - Let's go stop them, and then kill all their shit."
That's all one really needs be concerned about.

No, yeah I think I did pretty good explanation.. Dimensions being different timelines.
Re: Warlords of Draenor - General Discussion
Abulos: That picture is a BS simplification. In the current reality, all of those are true. Beta universe and alpha universe are linked by portal.
Screw this discussion, I stand by the point that beta-KJ on beta-argus now possibly can enter alpha-azeroth. Dwy out.
