Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
- Spoiler:
- My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot.
I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went into troubleshoot mode. I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected just fine. Next I deselected her and started at the top of Romney's name and started tapping very closely together to find the 'active areas'. From the top of Romney's button down to the bottom of the black checkbox beside Obama's name was all active for Romney. From the bottom of that same checkbox to the bottom of the Obama button (basically a small white sliver) is what let me choose Obama. Stein's button was fine. All other buttons worked fine.
I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not. I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said "It's nothing to worry about, everything will be OK." and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video.
There is a lot of speculation that the footage is edited. I'm not a video guy, but if it's possible to prove whether a video has been altered or not, I will GLADLY provide the raw footage to anyone who is willing to do so. The jumping frames are a result of the shitty camera app on my Android phone, nothing more.

Isn't the first move the Republican Party has made to cheat the system this election cycle. They've been working on disenfranchising and passing bullshit laws about non-existent voter fraud to keep Obama demographic voters out of the system for months now.
They're really pretty disgraceful these days.

Yeah I know. Iirc the Republican governor of PA went so far as to say that such a law would allow Romney to win PA.
I think a judge decided to invalidate the law.

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
I just couldn't help myself but to do this.
I was talking to a girl that a person whom I used to go to school with five years ago used to date. He ripped her off on alot of money and were overall quite a douche. He's also widely known throughout the city for being a very slimey desperate guy trying with every girl no matter age.
I've never refered to him as a friend even if we met recently through other friends to me.
Now he saw that I became friends with his ex on facebook and proceeded to ask me in PMs that I should remove her again, because we're friends, he's begging me from the bottom of his heart, saying that it really hurts him so deeply to see me having her on facebook. I calmly explained that he should live and let go, and perhaps be a little bit more mature about it - He can not control others, not his friends, no one. And that I may be friends with whomever I like. And that he shouldn't make it such a big deal, and that I understand where he comes from but that he's exeggerating.
That's when he posted this up here and I'll translate it.
"you know what fuck you all am going to change fb change fucking friends because all my fucking friends is like some sort of fucking snitches o bitches that stabs you in the back that flirts with your ex and calls them my friend
can be found on the phone if you fucking want something"
he then replied to those two
"i'm sitting here and crying because i dont know who i can trust i feel so damn shit"
MOST HILARIOUS SHIT EVER. Dat exeggeration for crying out loud, I barely know him and he blames all his friends and makes shit up. :DDDD Glad he's not my friend

on an entirely different topic, unless there is a massive plot-twist resulting in a confused george bush winning presidency I hope obama experiments with a beard in the next term.

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/york-man-crushed-giant-crucifix-leg-amputated-191700439.htmlA deeply religious man in upstate New York who believes a church's giant crucifix cured his wife of cancer had his own leg amputated after the same crucifix collapsed on top of him.
CBS New York reports that the accident occurred when 45-year-old David Jimenez was cleaning the 600-pound crucifix, which was allegedly held up by a single screw. Jimenez has been a frequent visitor to the Church of St. Patrick in Newburgh, N.Y., where he made regular stops to pray for his wife, who is now cancer-free.
"The screw is useless. It supported no anchoring system," said Jimenez's attorney Kevin Kitson. "David attributed the cure to his devotion to that cross."
Kitson told the Digital Journal that Jimenez is planning to sue the church for $3 million after losing his leg, because he will not be able to return to his job at a pizza restaurant. The church has reportedly raised about $7,000 for Jimenez's recovery effort so far.
Kitson said the legal liability should reside with the church for "telling someone to go forward with an action and causing this accident."

As much as people argue over British politics. "Fuck you middle class conservatives!" "Damn you poor labour muggles", they still have a lot of policies in common. I am so pleased we don't have to pick between Romney and Obama. They campaign so differently. Far right or left. The US needs an inbetween.
