"Watching topics"

Right, this'll earn me even more emails I'm sure, but is anyone else getting emailed about replies in every single thread they post in? I've switched the option off in my preferences, I've not clicked to watch any specific threads, yet I'm getting emailed anyway.

theres something that shows you all the threads you're watching, you need to go and unwatch them and itll be safi.

Yeah, 'cept the forum is just auto-watching threads for me anyway, despite that option and any other regarding emailing me being switched off >>

It's happening to me too, and not just here, on another forum as well. I'm guessing they have made somekind of updates and broken stuff on the way.

It's getting a tad annoying to have to keep clearing the list of topics that it has made me auto-watch.
And yeah, it keeps sending me email notifications too, even though that option is disabled >.>

I added those emails to my spam box, by just adding the keywords that the email always uses.

It's something that happened over the new year I believe. You need to disable the e-mail notification in your preferences, as well as unwatch any topics that you have posted in since that option has been auto-enabled. Seems to be a common problem with FreeForums.

When you do post in a thread as well, there are small preferences, namely one saying "Notify me when a reply is posted". Uncheck that, should fix the problem.
