[IC] Census of the Kirin Tor

Agreed. For being the faction that supposedly has the most prominent magic use, we've been sorely out-magicked with the Horde having Silvermoon and Dalaran being neutral. It's about time Alliance has its proper magical hub back. Works much better with Alliance Dalaran and Horde Silvermoon competing with each other as magical centerpieces of their factions.

Yeah. Status quo must be maintained! No way Blizzard would have given us Belves.

They could have pulled a Panda reverse, split them into two and have the players decide which factions to join, which would make sense given Blood Elves/High Elves.

Game play wise it would have been a big deal. Maybe they could do a DK/Panda and let Belves choose but after Theremore and what ever goes down with Anduin it seems like that wont happen.

Could work. Might even be what they are planning. But I doubt it. Humans and Blood elves are the most populous races. If they give belves the ability to choose between Alliance or Horde, it will probably tip faction balance further in favor of the Alliance. Keeping them Horde-exclusive balances out human popularity.

Hey, aslong as more options are on the table, I am quite happy with it. For instance it would be quite awesome to have the language barriers removed or at least have a universal language for every race so that we can enjoy x-faction RP properly.

Very unlikely that will ever happen, sadly.

But that is a good idea, if you rolled it with a opt out button for filtering in BGs or from gankers.

On Kazbo ive played neutral and even attempted to contact the horde for some agents who would have a easy time hunting on "the other side".
However, playing somebody completely devoted to Dalaran no matter what, i think the mage hunter squad might switch its focus away from cultists and more towards the horde, once that there patch hit, that is.

Hrmm, this makes me wonder as well, will there be any Sunreaver hunting come 5.1? O_O

There's going to be a scenario for the Alliance hunting Sunreavers in Dalaran, right?

Might be something to consider running through IC...


That or we could consider doing some event in Dala for it, assuming we do get an Alliance one. I don't know of any Horde Sunweavers we could actually hunt though (as seen by this census, there isn't a single blood elf signed up), so would probably have to be a dungeon mastered event.

Well, from what I know.. Lor'themar and quite some Blood elves come to save Aethas, killing a ton of Kirin'tor mages, no idea about the Alliance side of the scenario, just that Blood elves actually DO something on their side.

I believe in the Alliance side you actually go around arresting Sunweavers, finishing with Aethas.

That is a bit.. boring for a Scenario! "HOLD RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!" whilst Lor'themar gets to go Black Ops on the Kirin'tor.

But yes i plan for atleast the frostgear squad of mage hunters to be hunting down sunreavers and other ex-dalaran figures in the next patch, figure we might make a couple of events out of it.

Dialogue has stated that resisting is grounds for lethal force. So I assume much of the scenario is actually killing Sunweavers who resist.

Oh, well you can imagine that 90% of the groups will be having lethal force used against them, then.

They never surrender :p Be fun if they did for once.

It is unlikely they will surrender, though I am looking forward into doing the Scenario on both sides, I love how they've put so much lore into these Scenarios, one of the best moves ever from Blizzard.

If the language barrier was broken it'd be awesome. It just makes no IC sense when belves can't speak common and so on. Although I'm glad blood elves aren't joining the Alliance. It just seems a bit iffy to me plus, SOOOOOOOOO MAAAANY PEOPLE WOULD ROLL ALLIANCE BLOOD ELVES, thus making census lore a total brain fart.
And in regard to the pro-war question, I believe Alorah would be for it, after Theramore was pwned.

A little update on the Dalaran situation, seems like The Silver Covenant will play a huge role in the kicking of the Sunreavers. Vereesa is telling the players that the city is mostly theirs but there are still some pockets of resistance who need to be arrested. Seems like its heavily implied that she has grown a spine and that the Quel'dorei are actually pretty tough as well.
