I've only just watch the indoctrination theory video and it makes damn well sense. If that IS the ending, I'm impressed that it is so well thought out. If I were Bioware and knew that wasn't the ending, I'd still pretend to act like it was going "Pfft, didn't you idiots work that out?" ...

.. If they release a gayshitfuck (this calls for a rare merging of words) ending that isn't the Indoc (or anything on par with) ending, then I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear it.

Even with a well thought ending like this, they still missed out one major thing. I want to know what happens to your companions!

I actually kind of agree with Bioware on that though.

If the Indoctrination theory is correct, then it is a brilliant ending. It has managed to indoctrinate millions of fans into believing that Shephard can't have been indoctrinated and that the ending was shit. This is the game version of inception!

The only issue I have now is the lack of closure on characters and "Well, what happened with the war?"

My problem with that is the fact that the game ends before any kind of resolution;

Instead it ends before anything starts to resolve - regardless of your "artistic vision", if you don't put it in the story, we're still going to hate its absence. It's not a brilliant ending, because it isn't an ending, it's a lead-up to an ending that doesn't happen in the actual game and this isn't a fucking book where you can add an appendix at the end either.

If you put the "real" ending in DLC later, we're still going to be pissed because it means you were too lazy to put the actual ending in the game to begin with. It doesn't make it clever, it makes it poorly put together.

I agree in a sense. It would better suit an ending for a second game, for example. The fact that there was going to be no more to his story is the most troubling part of it.

I did see that part (Since I had more than 5000 War readiness, about 6300ish) but it didn't really say anything. I'm actually not saying that the Indoctrination theory is wrong, it's definately an interesting idea - what I'm saying is that even if it is right, the current ending is still shit.

I think I'm close to the ending but I haven't been able to bring myself to playing for about 2 weeks now. :/ I guess I just burned out on the gameplay playing through ME 2 for a couple of times. GG releasing the same game twice
