My cousin. I have no idea how she ended up a topic here, she wouldn't have any interest in gaming if I put a gun to her head.

I admit it, I sung it.
But that's cause I'm a Lion King fan.

Apparently a guy at my school was hemorrhaging in his head very badly, and the nurse just gave him a panadol (asprin) ... this isn't the first she's done something like this too. Although in her own defence, our school has terrible facilaties and there's always a line of students outside her office complaining about supposed headaches or tummy aches just to avoid class (I used to do it all the time too heh)
I don't know what happened to the kid though :/ hope he's ok! I don't know much about cranial hemorrhaging, but it definitely sounds very serious. I think it probably happened during gym class or something :/ poor kid

Our school isn't allowed to even give aspirin. You could break your arm and the nurse would just be like "Want a glass of water?"

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
There's more or less one reason to give Aspirin (outside of a specific instruction by a doctor) and that's possibly for a heart attack (in the case of an MI, a blood clot). For internal bleeding (or haemorrhaging) it's more or less the worst thing, as it thins the blood (why it's given for certain heart/blood problems, or not given depending).
I hope they're ok. And I hope the nurse gets some proper training, off the job, or whatever is necessary.
Some First Aid training is something most (if not all) people should have. Sadly some people lack any sense.

Writing a coming out letter to my parents, the lady at the LGBT centre told me that it would be a good idea since I'm nervous when openly talking to my parents, and would be a good way to just get everything out at once.

Aspirin's also designed to relieve pain from mild headaches to full-blown migraines. The student probably reported having a headache so she just gave him an aspirin thinking it'd make it go away. I don't think she realized he was hemorrhaging.
But yes, you're definitely right about it making hemorrhaging worse. If I recall correctly, it inhibits or at least weakens the clotting factor of blood. I'm not actually sure how it'd make hemorrhaging worse as I'm not entirely familiar with the mechanism of action of aspirin (or cranial hemorrhages for that matter lol), but I suppose maybe the little tears that occur in the walls of blood vessels in the brain don't end up getting repaired quickly enough so the damage to the blood vessels remains there for a long period of time so blood continues to pool into the cranial ... cavity ... thing? (I have no idea what you call that place, but cranial/cerebral cavity sounds about right D:!)
I haven't really studied aspirin properly at school though (not that what they teach us at my level is all the comprehensive or representative of the real "thing" anyways) and all the nonsense I'm spewing out now is just from this article I read a long, long, long time ago so it's probably all just me rambling away like an idiot lol.
And wth gruff, you never cease to amaze me. Is there anything you DON'T know?! (Probably how to make a bomb in your kitchen, but I can teach you that easily).

It entirely depends on my mother's mood. She goes from "supportive" to "satan" very quickly.
But what if they misinterpret, cor? WHAT IF THEY MISINTERPRET!!!
