I know what it is, and that's why I want it. Main reason I play games is for story.

GW2 = MMORPG. MMO's are by default based on PC. If it does go to consoles, how will it possibly work? They'll have to change the game for PC to make it fit with the consoles. Imagine WoW on Xbox360, with alot of kids yelling when they get their loot ninjad. How would implementing it on consoles without changing it from the PC version work? It wouldnt. There's way to many keybindings. It wont work without having to simplify the PC version. I don't want that.

STALKER is amazing. I usually sit on Skype with a empty tube when my pal plays Call of Pripyat. Why? Cause the empty tube makes the exact same sound like a Bloodsucker. He jumps in his chair and shit bricks.

Heard of separate servers for separate platforms? Plus, we haven't played GW2 yet. How do we know it wouldn't work for pc and console?

Because A-Net's said they won't be looking at developing a console port at it due to the problems it'd cause in switching the Game Mechanics.
You have 10 abilityslots that have to be easy to use. Then you have dodging and movement, and the camera.
Even with just that it's to much for the standard console controller, if it's to be comfortable.

They might say you need to use a keyboard if you intend to play on a console or even separate servers for each platform. I know FFXI had ps2 xbox and pc all on the same server and nobody ever complained.

I've played GW2, It could be developed onto a console but as Helmfrid said, they would do the "You require a keyboard to play" so people would have to buy a USB keyboard.

The game itself blew me away. The rolling away from enemies and the whole combat system was great fun. In the first 10 minutes, I was fighting a giant worm alongside others diving away from its crashing attacks and going mental with my sword.

Thing is, if they are going to develop for console, they'll have to change the game that they've already worked on for about five or six years. They wont make two games just to release one on consoles.
They wont have;
1. Resources or will to spend another year or two to make it fit for both PC and consoles.
2. Enough time when they've already said that GW2 will be released this year with beta in march.
And the fact that people will have to buy extra accessories just to play one game on their consoles wont be worth it.

MMO with an action combat system, in short, no clicking your targets and no tabbing through them.

It's still really simplistic in other areas of the general MMORPG, like your average, uninspired questing and all that. I could discuss the combat in depth tho and it's basically got the potential to turn 1v1 mirror matches into completely skill-based fights (compare to say warrior vs warrior in wow). Add to that different classes, 10v10 deathmatches, guild wars over zones...

DLC I hear. Episodes and whatnot. No 13-3 game has been confirmed though that could be an option. I wouldn't mind but the game is seriously short for an RPG or even a Final Fantasy. So with that in mind I believe they should have included the ending, not making us pay for it.

Anyone remember the Heroes of Might and Magic games?

Number three was "our" version, as in the one me and my friends played. This weekend we were in a nostalgic mood and played another game, and it ended up being ridiculously epic and lasting troughout pretty much the entire weekend. It was great stuff, everybody minding their own business on their individual laptops and one ever few minutes or so doing a turn on the "Big" PC (connected to the television). It got particularily exciting when two players duked it out with eachother, and the two other non-combatants dropped their individual games/film/book to watch the battles play out.

What castle I was playing, you ask?

Dungeon.

I had nearly forgotten how much I loved the turn based strategy game genre. It just has something special to share one computer in hotseat mode and fight these magically powered chess matches with lightning bolts and dragons. And my dragons, being of the black kind, and my magical bolts, being of the fiery kind, ending up winning! In case anyone was wondering, Rampart came in second, Castle in third, and Fortress dead last.

Good times.
