Hmm... does anyone know of a good PS emulator and where I could find a good FF 9 rom?
Far easier/cheaper than finding someone who still has the game and a PS/PS2 that I could borrow.

I've been trying to do this forever.
I lost my discs for 9 after my brother borrowed it, and I enjoy the story. Plus, Freya is a god. I have the vast majority on consoles anyway, super nintendo, psp, ds, etc. 
Just really wanna play 9 again. It's been years!

I find Final Fantasy games moderately enjoyable, but I would never classify them as an RPG. To me FF games resemble an RPG about as much as CoD does.

I disagree completely. You take on the role of the main character and make your way through the games story.
In CoD, you traverse several minor characters and shoot black people.

This is really the only genre developed, without influence from each other, about the same time at two different places. Thus the difference between them.
Still, I think the whole "RPG" is a missnomer on almsot all games that carry it. Yes, you to some degree play a role. But that role is almost always heavily scripted. But that's scemantics I'm not gonna dive into right now.

If you've got Playstation 3 and money in your virtual wallet (if not, go get some then!), I suggest that you go visit the PSN Store right now and buy Journey.
I've played plenty of pretty games on PS3 before, but Journey easily takes the cake...and it's not even just a tech-demo, it's an actual game. A rather simple one, but personally, I think the simplicity is a very good thing. Not to mention that it's simple mainly on the gameplay level. Visuals, music, athmosphere...all those are far from simple.
Could easily already lift it up to my TOP-5 games of 2012, without even knowing what other games I'll end up playing later this year.
