First of all, I think this would be a brilliant idea to pull, Fortesgue. Can really bring a lot of awesome RP on the table with lock downs, hunting of cultists and so forth. We could perhaps even have some people make level 1 cultist alts or use random characters as such to act as the Arcbishop's fanatical Twilight Hammer followers?

SI:7 vs the Disciples; Im sure the Disciples would be up for this?
The Hand of Nightmares or such surely need to get in there somewhere, right?
I also love the idea of Draenei Vindicators coming in and acting as neutral party, if you could get that organised with like minded players, that would really add.

I love the idea of making level 1 alt cultists, having some act as priests and such would be an amusing idea.

I really... -really- also want to see preaching, as the "normal" church comes under scrutiny its the perfect time for you alternative psycho light religions to get in there, so Chapters and Scarlets, and/or Lordaeron Legion, get your priests ready!

Archbishop suspected leads to church suspected
Church leads to Fortesgue and similar suspected
Fortesgue and Paladins leads to Council suspected
Council leads to departments suspected (law enforcement, libraries, judges).

My point is that there isn't any less reason to suspect Fortesgue than Geldar, Omanos, Aleric (who all are paladins and frequently interact with Fortesgue, after all) even if they're not affiliated with the church as such. So if it's just a "witch hunt" then anyone prominent in society should be a candidate for dissappearing. Not just church leaders.

Not to mention that mass arrests of church leaders is probably going to ellicit massive demonstration in the streets if history is anything to go by (yes yes, I know. Fantasy setting and all).*

Of course... maybe it's not about cleaninsing the church of corruption at all but a coup to cripple the church politically. . Then it'd make perfect sense to just arrest church officials.

Just to be clear: I really want SI7 to go on an arrest spree. I just don't want to see it limited to just the church for no reason . Especially since we've previously had a high ranking commander in charge of the royal guard turn out to be a Twilight Cultist and there being saboteurs in the army.
If anything our wonderful councillors should really be having trouble sleeping and working just as much as the church officials is to ensure there's absolutely nothing that could even remotely link them to the cult.

I am quite sure anyone connected with the word religion will come under scrutiny, including the Chapter.

IC the chapter are quite seperate from the church, but yes there should be some observation on them but they are not a likely area of investgation.

The Chapter is very much a target for investigation, given their past. There are any number of ways that the Chapter could be involved or directly behind this corruption.
