'Losing' in RP is not bad. What you gain is great conflict RP. Cultists and other criminal groups have to deal with that as part and parcel of their existence, the Light orders should be able to handle it just fine, too.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not worried about losing in RP in a minor way that has no lasting effect. I'm worried about being forced into a permanent change in the place of the Disciples of Light. The Disciples of Light were formed on the day the server was launched. In all the time since then, both the Cathedral and Stormwind have been able to count on the Disciples for support. It is fundamental to the nature of the Guild. An RP event that places the Cathedral in opposition to Stormwind would force the Disciples to choose sides and place the Disciples in a no win situation. However, if the fundamental nature of the Disciples was forced to change permanently due to RP circumstances beyond our control, that would be a different matter.

The church and the cathedral will remain on the Kingdoms side. As will the DoL im sure.

But if the leader of your organisation is guilty of being a twilight cultist that is going to impact alot. All teaching need to be examined for heresy, every command the Archbishop made is potentually misleading or was partaken by a corrupted priest.

The thing is DoL can be 100% clean. I guess you are unless you have any heretics in your number. The point is tho you are under suspition.

Worst case senario for long term damage is rumor and some lingering suspition of your members. "no smoke without fire". Nothing will be forced on you. Personally I would suggest that you might become more...willing to prove your innocence, become more millitant, or purer in your teachings. Maybe the disciples might lose some faith instead? Either way that would be completely up to the guild.

That's fine. As long as it is determined in the end that Bennedictus has turned out to be a bad apple, I don't see a problem.

I would be more than happy to have suspicion arise around Osmand, perfect opportunity due to Cultists being found in the Chapter before, arrest, unknowing aid to cultists and so on. I am more than happy to have Osmand's sterling relations with the people of stormwind ...yea.... be called into question/

Even better, the leader of the Burning Legion was once a Titan. Without the Titans, there would be no Burning Legion! But aswell the world would be ruled by Old Gods and Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes and probally other races aswell wouldn't excist!

Not true. Algalon would have taken care of the latter two problems quite efficiently, if it weren't for us meddling mortals!

Also, keep in mind that we only convinced Algalon not to destroy the world. We didn't actually destroy him. In fact, he's still watching and studying us. There's an actual sapient representative of the titans watching us.

Well Thelos, there are alot of them watching us! (The Titans are a race, the Pantheon are their leaders and the real deal!)

But Metzen said that on a day they we will actually see the Pantheon on Azeroth. We'll see how that goes, but I fear Blizzard will retcon alot of its own lore again.

No power does anything while all those happen so that 10 people in ridiculous armour get a chance to stop them.

Well.. arguable the Light has done things to help with all those threats, through the priest and paladins of all the races that use it.

Organising event: Friday 2/12/11 (wow, for some reason i was thinking like an american ) 20:00 random RP at the Cathedral. -Rumours are abound that the Archbishop has gone traitor, come between 20:00 and 21:00 to voice your concerns.

Will organise an event for Saturday aswell.

Can't be around for anything tonight, but I'm definitely in for anything tomorrow! Glad you popped up again Fort, really like this whole idea.

I shall be there, someone needs to guard baldies Hat.

Ok, that was to say the least, entertaining and quite horrific.

So, because things have progressed far quicker than i thought i am holding the next meeting on sunday at 20:00. The truth of the rumour will come clean here IC so we can react to it as proper.

I want to see the crap really hit the fan, 20:00 Cathedral, be there, scream, cry, attack, defend, whatever

Just as a heads up, tommorow (Saturday) i am going to be RPing in the Cathedral between 18:00 and 20:00 (or so) for anyone who wishes to question me, bring an issue, get a feel for the plight of the Cathedral or get involved in anyway.

Also open to any ideas you lot have as to things youd like to see.
