This is probably the earliest I've ever been with the Tuesday comic. And could that be a plot brewing on the horizon?

Orthur may have been an hermit clad in rags, but at least he had taste for the good stuff. Two and a half internet cookies if you know what kind of tea they're talking about.

Now, Hearthglen didn't really have a tavern. But since the majority of the next coming strips will take place there, I decided to add one (since everyone knows that a tavern is a dramatic pillar of the fantasy genre) and thus "The Drunken Crusader" was born. Complete with a bartender and a waitress which may or may not receive some manner of characterization later on.

Oh, and I do think this is the first time the Baron has said "damnation" since the art upgrade.

I like the painting hanging lopsided And that's a romance starting? ^^

I originally had it hanging straight, but it didn't quite have the right feel to it ^^. Well, a bro-mance at least .

Looks like Darilas beat you to it :p. And yes, it is a rather nice place, very cozy. Too bad there wasn't actually one in Hearthglen, it would have added much to the atmosphere.

You are quite correct, and there will be wine soon enough. But since they shared their love of wine, I didn't think it would be that much of a stretch to extend it to a common interest in tea ^^.

Well, I'm glad you are. And I just realized that your characters have gotten quite a lot of space in the comic lately .

Legendary wit indeed. Though the actual Baron didn't... Mingle... with demons, there was a few rumors of him doing so. Since I've already hinted at it two or three times in the comic I figured I might as well make a thing of it.

Oh, and the reason that the Baron simply introduces himself as Steven is that he's a lot less formal when hanging out at the pub. That and that Orthur probably would have been familiar with the Alteracian noble house, and it's not quite time to reveal their identities to each other yet.
