I'd say a cermonial knife / or just knife would be be the spot on instead of a sword though.

Actually, that's not a bad point. I concur. Something like this perhaps?

I trust you don't mind a bonus update?

Well then boys and girls. That concludes the current story arc. Oh, and in the next strip I'll begin with the new art style. I hope you're going to like it!

Oh, we'll get to it in time. And it's going to be quite nasty, that's for sure Wink.

But without further delay, I'd like to officially present the new art style (of course, you readers on the Defias Brotherhood forum has already seen it in action):

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I do hope that you like it and that it will lift up the comic to "mediocre" instead of "simply bad" Wink.

Also, the Crusade is now stationed in Hearthglen and the majority of the comics in the next few months will take part there.

Thanks alot for all the positive responses guys Very Happy. Really means alot, and once we all get used to the new artstyle, I think you're going to like it even more.

Darilas wrote:Nice work. I really like the backgrounds in this one.

Thanks. The backgrounds are actually the main reason for the new panel format. Since the comic is designed to work as a forum post the old 2x2 panel format left me with precious little room for nice backgrounds. Which in turn made me neglect the backgrounds even more, since alot of it wouldn't show anyway. The new layout allows me to use detailed backgrounds without making the panels too cluttered, which motivates me alot more to actually take some time with the environments and stuff.

Is this your lucky day or what? Here's a bonus strip:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

It was difficult, at times, to roleplay a guild with a preestablished structure and an in game leader. High Lord Tirion is the master of the Argent Crusade, but since Cataclysm he doesn't actually do anything. Well, apart from standing in the Hearthglen throne room and shouting out some motivational phrases to bypassers.

Of course, back in the day we all got our orders from Eloresh, but he in turn (as the IC explanation was) got them from Tirion. Their meetings must have been somewhat... Awkward...

Well, I'm hopefully doing something right if it's becoming a tradition to say awesome with each new update Wink.

Also, with the risk of spamming my own thread with comics, you guys remember the two "test comics" I did back when I was fiddeling around with the artwork? Well, I fixed them up this morning, and updated them with the sort of backgrounds I intend to use with the new art style. Figured I post them here so that people who missed them the first time can enjoy them as well:

I especially like how the background in the Kathless-comic turned out.
