Tongues - For speaking other languages, or to understand them. Also handy to avoid "wrong language" in party/raid/guild
FlagRSP and GHI doesn't need explaination, I am sure. ^^

Personally I also use Endeavour's Notepad. Very nice and easy to access if you need to write something down quickly, IC or OOC.

AtlasLoot is a great way to browse for certain pieces of gear (in this case, emphasizing RP gear) found in Instances, Reputation rewards, and Crafting.
Unfortunately it only lists certain, very specific Quest rewards (Such as the Arathor/Defiler tabards) and no Green/Blue quality World Drops, so you'll have to dig for those in the AH or ModelViewer at best.

I use Gryphonheart Items, as it offers a food feature to create buffs, items and books.
Of those three, books and notes being the primary function for me, as it allows me to store applications, records and other usefull things IC.
And then I use FlagRSP as I would forget my name very quickly, if it wasn´t for this. - Also a shooort description of me is also included, but it is veery short.

I cannot stress how important Tongues is to me....I may be able to type in a fluent dwarvish dialect but troll is beyond me...Also the ability to actually slowly pick up other languages over time due to the amount you hear is awesome and adds to the realism...Although I figure its going to take years til I understand a single word of Thalassian :<

Model Viewer - Essentially a easy to use, primarily machinima making tool, Model Viewer lets you select any creature in the game or create a character. You can then equip then with any and every item currently in-game including those exclusive to NPCs.

X-perl's range detector makes good addition for spying, as you can see whenever you're getting closer or further from the target even if you can't see it directly. And it just looks sexy.
I wouldn't suggest that. Because whenever I get myself a half-decent set and start wowheading it - good half of those items are unobtainable (Removed... Really low % raid drop... A reward for some lame-ass outland quest I did during leveling and, of curse, picked pink plate chestpiece instead of badass leather boots...). And often the sets look better in the viewer than in game.

Jeez! It might take a little bit of tinkering to get right but it's hardly rocket science :<

I'll go add ImmersionRP to the list.
Mostly the same as FlagRSP, but in my opinion more good functions and doesn't take as much space on screen. Also, last time I used Flags you couldn't move the text window, whiched annoyed me to no end. With iRP that's as easy as pie.

How long can the notes be saved?
Say if I've had a long RP event, where I need to remember a lot of things for RP in the future?

I think a lot of people would like it if the posters gave a link to their suggested addon.

RP-related chat channels
So I thought it would be nice to have a list of free-to-join RP-related channels here. I reckon there are people out there who don't have the slightest clue where to look for such channels.
Please give the name of the channel and a small description. Like this:
Summary:
/join HordeRP (recommending this; biased) [H]
/join LFRP [H/A]
/join RPAlliance [A]
/join RPHorde [H/A]
/join SWCriminals [A]
/join GnomeRP [A]
/join LFDK [A]
/join Covenant (fairly inactive) [H]
Read the individual posts for a detailed description.

Meh, should make two new unoffical RP channels, Replacing Alliance/Horde RP
Alas, making a new channel for both, and then our guilds announce it on our webpages and advertise it to other fellow roleplayers.
Frehs'things up aswell as some filtration n_n

Re: Addons, Tips and Trix ~ Channels
/LFRP has always been up, albeit very quietly so. There's rarely more than three people on it. Perhaps if more people join it, they would be able to help out all the newcomers who by default join a channel by that name, expecting a little bit of help as they would on other servers.

Been on the server for years and i heard about this one for the first time? Maybe it's so quiet because it's not really advertised.
My personal channels that don't belong to -a- guild are /RPhorde and /Covenant, the first one is pretty active and most random roleplayers that visit my tavern say they heard of it in this channel. I pop my tavern opening message on all my channels.
Also the /Covenant channel seems rather quiet, perhaps because the Covenant itself is not as active as it used to be and RP guilds no longer suggest people to join the channel.

Chess addon!
I only recently downloaded this but we've already intergrated this in to our RP in the tavern. In roleplay we usually just sit on the table and pretend there is a chessboard between us. This can spark up quite the fun opportunidies, and it has!
After testing it ahwile i'm very happy with it and plan to advert it around a little. It's a great way to kill time OOC or IC.

Here's your challenge: Thinking and Roleplaying at the same time? UNPOSSIBLE!

The Chess addon is a great thing indeed. Even comes with a WC2 tileset iirc.
