Greetings Defias Brotherhood,
When I first learned of the existence of chat channels, I was frankly completely mystified. I felt like I entered some sort of secret club, like I had finally penetrated the mysterious veil and entered the role playing community's secret backdoor rooms. I was, however, quickly disillusioned by the amount of mindless banter in these channels. While not bad per se, I had hoped that these channels were used to organize role play better and establish a sound medium for those without a guild and different guilds to communicate with each other. Especially with so many Altaholics around, the value of having a channel where you can ask if anyone of a particular roleplaying subcommunity is online is invaluable. This value recently hit me when I was informed by a Naaruvada member that she wanted to roleplay on her Draenei, but to her discontent there was no body to roleplay online. This was in fact false; there were several online, probably idling some place or doing quests on other characters.
I believe this is the true strength of chat channels like Eshroud and Kalimdor. If everybody of those respective communities were to join those channels on all of their alts, they would be able to adequately answer a call for role play to that community. It would be an eternal shame if we are all on different alts looking for roleplay and missing each other by poor communication because we happen to be on characters that belong to a different community and have no proper way to communicate with each other.
It is for that reason I have founded the Outland channel for those who seek Roleplay in Outland. I will ask of all of the Naaruvada members to join this chat channel. I will also highly encourage players that have Draenei characters to join it also. On all of their characters. This way, if a player wants to roleplay on one of his characters in Outland, he need only ask in the chat channel if there is anyone available with an Outland centric character and bam, there you have it, ready and available role play.
I still feel however that these chat channels are surrounded by an air of mystery. We do not have a concise list of channels here on the forums, for example, and I think many of us do not want to have such a list in fear of the channels flooding with people that have no business there. While I can understand that sentiment, I would still encourage people to advertise the presence of channels and propagate their use, so we can avoid scenarios where people who are looking for a certain niche role play are unable to find it due to poor communication. I therefore propose that those who agree with this sentiment to unveil their chat channels in this thread so that we can perhaps compile a list.
Let no call for roleplay, no matter how niche, go unanswered.

Alliance- LFRP - (Looking for Roleplay) General AllianceRP channel and a place to ask anything Roleplaying related.
- Arathor - Dedicated to Arathorian roleplay.
- SWCouncil - for any Council/Stormwind related matters.
- Kalimdor - Dedicated to roleplay in Kalimdor.
- Outland – Dedicated to roleplay in Outland.
- Kirintor - The unguilded Kirin Tor and Dalaran community, also for all general magic discussion.
- Pandaria - Alliance side for all things panda/monk
- Gilneas - Channel for the Gilnean community and roleplayers.
- GnomeRP - Channel for all Gnomes.
- NorthernRP - A chat channel dedicated to role-play within the northern Eastern Kingdoms' regions (the upper continent).
- KhazRP - Themed on Khaz Modan, Dwarven areas etc.
- Underforge - Channel dedicated for the Black Market roleplaying event "[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]"
- Northrend - For all your Roleplaying needs in the cold north.
Horde- HordeRP - New Horde RP channel, for general talk and finding RP
- ForsakenRP -Intented for discussing all things forsaken such as lore, finding random RP, and anything less mentionable about the forsaken.
- DSTrolls - For Darkspear / Horde alligned Trolls.
- TaurenRP - A channel with Tauren.
- TheGathering - Horde side "council".
- Bkrp - A channel for all Blood Knights for easier communication.
- Undercity - Channel for the Roleplay happening beneath the Ruins of Lordaeron
*Those with the line below them are considered the most active channels (+5 at prime hours).

I think we should get a new Channel for the alliance:
AllianceRP , deticated to all RPers (Also before you say LFRP, no just no /gilneas has more people in it, unless more people would actually join it)
Advertise it on realm forums and maybe people should actually join it. Might get some OOCers in, but better than other half dead/full chats. Also it could be served better to maybe guide any new Alliance RPer.

But Gilneas is an active channel
AllianceRP basically seems like LFRP but with a different name because LFRP doesn't have many people in it. But then, instead of advertising AllianceRP, why not just advertise LFRP?
LFRP is always a better option because most RP servers have one. It tends to be the first channel a newly transferred RPer joins.

This idea gets coined every few months every year and has never really gotten off the ground.
You're welcome to try though, but don't be suprised when you'll end up as the only one in the channel, must like myself and Skarain ended up in the last untill I decided to quit it.

Sure i guess, guess we better then just try and advertise LFRP ingame and on Realm forums more.
Probably you got me wrong, but i ment it as in that Gilneas has more RPers than a channel which is more globaly deticated to RP. Not saying it's bad, i love that /Gileans is good and all active.
Just wondering why so little people who RP use LFRP.

If it's no trouble, could you please remove the "plaguelands" channel and replace it with the following channel:

It has come to my attention that the Alliance side LFRP channel seems to get hijacked every now and then and it's becoming more frequent.
Firstly, I encourage each and every one of you to write a ticket, placing emphasis that this is the continued targeting of role-players, the policy itself outlines that offensive language is not the extent to which the policy is limited.
Secondly, when the channel is returned, make sure to distribute moderator to many people in the channel. I mean 5-10 moderators at one time, during peak time. Today's taking of the channel was caused by just simple carelessness and a lack of remaining vigil.
That's all, I will try to do the same as well. I've written my own ticket already and so have a few other people.

Writing tickets doesn't work. I've done it twice. They don't give a fuck. There's a backup channel that most people are in, but we're not advertising it for obvious reasons.

Then "someone" kept locking the council channel we opened tickets and apparently the GMs will do nothing about it.
