Stormwind Culture School!

Good luck for the event ! Some WHitestar reporters might come, and even maybe me, If i come back in time from the parent meeting I need to go.

I'm forced to miss it tonight - returning to Uni. But I'll be there in future!

I liked the event, though it was a bit much to follow sometimes. The questions offered a lot of roleplay, but made it a bit rough to learn OOCly. I'll be reading up on those stickies. I'm thinking, with some basic knowledge of the course, it should be more easy to follow.

I definitely hope to see more of these in the future. I like joining them with my recruits/squires Thank you.

It was an interresting concept you tried, Julia.

I would personally have appriciated a bit more OOC info on the event beforehand, but I guess you can handle that now that you've tried it.

To my personal taste it was far too much of a lore repetition, but for those interrested in the general wow lore and the "server specific lore", that going through the arathoran guild/characters pretty much was, it seems an solid concept. It was certainly better than Julia standing there and holding a lecture :p

If I were to suggest something, it would be more cultural discussion. There are a lot of points that characters could discuss, like Arathoran pressence in Stormwind or their religious views versus the traditional holy light (or even alternatives like the night elven and dwarven worship).
Ofcourse this couldn't be done in such a large crowd, so you'd have to split up people into groups for a real discussion to take place.
This would give all characters a chance to speak (even those who don't know lore beond the course) and allow a bit of actual character interaction, which I think would be a good addition to your concept.

This is what I hope to do on the second course though. That is why I split it so that the first lesson is more facts. Because even if almost all of us know the lore OOC, not all does IC. Question is if I'll be able to make it with two classes. First being mostly facts, second being a guest of the culture and discussions. But I think we'll manage that. From this point on it will be more of a challenge for me too, since I know Arathorian lore best. But I like that challenge Hopefully it will bring more people speaking too if I make a few mistakes as the ones that know that culture better corrects me instead ^^

Overall I hope it was a decent even though, and I hope people will come to show in the future

Second lesson in a bit less then 30 minutes

The second lesson felt a lot more engaging for me personally. It was less laden with facts, though, but I did find it easier to keep up with all the talking.

Due to the fact that I feel like I'm overstressed, and possibly having an illness approaching (do hope it won't be the case when I wake up tomorrow), I'll cancel tomorrows lesson to take it up next week. I hope this is understandable.

After next week the day will possibly be changed too, as my school-schedule changes around, leaving me with an evening class on Thursdays, meaning I won't be home until 22ish those days.
