Rumor Mill

Rumour has it that there was a large explosion in Old Town during the early hours. They say some blond chap was seen walking towards the Pig and Whistle from the wreckage in the alley.

The marauders lost their Witch Doctor today. They left him in a ditch, surrounded by strange-looking idols and wards. Not even the greedy goblins dare approach the body. Dark spirits linger there...

Whispers from Bloodhoof suggest that the Chieftain of the Banner was badly injured alongside several tribesmen by a mysterious beast that fell from the cliffs near the Venture Co. mines. The creature is thought to be dead, but reports of it's appearance are unclear.

Strange rumors are about Mulgore of movements in the shadows; of figures being spotted out the corners of ones vision. There seems to be no related incidents as of yet.

"The other night, I swear I saw a dark haired woman with pale skin, dark eyes and a long red dress, sitting on a high up branch playing the harp.. "

"Yeah, right.. I know how drunk you got that night"

"No, I swear man.. She was real! She even stopped playing to speak to me before she vanished somehow.. "

"Last night, when I walked past the pig, I heard these broken tunes from flute playing! When I glanced to where the service entrance is, y'know, where the canals are, I saw this ghastly and scarred woman just sitting there by herself, playing. I left shortly afterwards, else my wife'd yell at me. Those mercenaries sure are weird," a man rambles on to his friend, bewildered.

"Lad," says the other man, "you should do well in keeping away from her, she's real odd, like some sort of ghoul last time I was at the pig. Honestly, I pity her. Light bless her broken soul."

Boris, of the Stormwind Guard, yawns again as he walks alongside his fellow Guard, Bert.

Bert: "You and the missus up all night eh?" he says with a conspiratorial nudge and a wink.

Boris stops and glares at Bert; "No, some feckin' belfy boy yelling away near me 'ouse over the Old Town".

Bert stops and looks at him curiously.

"Yeah" continues Boris, "Yellin' away and some woman yelling back at him, all laughin' and friendly like. Woke me up it did."

Bert laughs and slaps his comrade on the shoulder.

"Cheese that's what it is mate"

"What?"

"Cheese mate, before bed. get's you them strange dreams." He laughs again "Although I don'ts usualy dream of Belf boys meself".

"Ha ha very funny, mate veeery funny" replies Boris. "I tell you if I get my hands on that loud mouthed belf fecker I'm gonna wring his scrawny neck."

Bert just laughed and shook his head as he continued on his patrol "Right mate...like the guards would stand by and just ignore some woman yelling sweet talk at a belf in the middle of Stormwind."

"I tell you, it wasn't a dream!" insisted Boris as he hurried his step to catch up, looking annoyed as Bert just nodded with a grin and carried on walking.

Rumors of a new Centaur Kahn sweep the barrens. A Ruthless and honor-less mutt, raiding small settlements for reasons unknown.

Guard: "I'd advice keeping around Sentinel Hill, citizen. What? Of course nothing is wrong... i'd just stick to the northern parts of Westfall if i were you"

Remember that priestess from Darnassus who came here some days ago? She was seen with another unknown priestess on the road just outside Feathermoon last night..

No, no, that's not the whole story. Apparently, our priestess suddenly seemed paralyzed somehow and the other one.. picked up ours and carried her to the woods to the east and neither has been seen since! Why didn't they simply return to Feathermoon?

That last night's banquet at Saltheril's was a disaster! The wretched! The injured! The explosion! Atrocious and disgraceful! And those soldiers, disgusting...

There was a hell of a ruckus in front of the Rey's Blade (Honest Blade, Old town) at the evening of Sunday. All but one of the top floor windows would be broken, and the doors lock would be badly violated. There are rumors of a robbery, hostages, a shop in flames and Blades breaking in. Strange enough I heard from people in Westfall and Elwynn that someone was hunting for a death knight.. That had left some kind of note on a guy. I hear that Death Knight vanished into the air, with a Blade.. Apparently he ditched some other Blade the fella he took was with in Duskwood. Was a lad and some lasses out hunting and searching. Think they found the bloke somewhere in Elwynn. Quite strange. Time to put locks on the windows I say.. Who knows where that death knight might strike next.

Really? That's horrible. Do you know if the Blade's guy is alright?

Nah.. Did not hear anything about his state but they did not say anything about him being dead or so. But that note.. It was some kind of heart and a hand? Dont know what that means but I sure dont want one.

Converstation between two Hobos in Westfall:

Oi, did you hear 'bout that incident at Sentinel Hill? That expedition force got hit pretty hard by some Thugs.

Hail Anethion Commander, we have found two more bodies near the abandoned tower near the pass for Deadwind. Eh.... Commander, both were badly burned... in the same way as those who we have found five weeks ago... Seems like our Shadow murdered is back. Travellers and patrols alike who have wandered the Wetlands have vanished, only to be found dead. The heat around the bodies and of the bodies drained to its full, leaving only a shell of what they were before.

Well I have seen one of their reporters talking to people all over the place, even ran into her in Elwynn. Some Loreli Dundell.
Not sure what she is asking people about though, but I did hear her speak of this death knight and corpses left behind.. Some told me though that she is checking out some corrupted buisness too.
