The Kaldorei messenger picked up one of the small spheres from Calisar’s desk, twirling it between his fingers with puzzlement. Flicking the gold foil back slightly to reveal the hidden interior

“Hmm… otherwise it rather looks like a knobbly lump of-”

A sharp look made him hesitate.

“-Err -sawdust?”

Whoever heard of chocolates as a tradition for such things? He shrugged, his duty was merely to deliver these small packages wherever was necessary. Judging by the amount of gold spheres rolling around the desk, they’d be a lot to do…

To herald the arrival of the newly formed Circle of Darnassus, a celebration is afoot.

We seek to meet the existing Alliance Councils, form friendly working ties, or at least establish bare-faced nasty mutual rivalries with our varied foreign counterparts over a glass or two of something intoxicating.

This has been bubbling around as an idea for quite a while, and as we are now finally up and running, it seems the right time.

If you represent a diplomatic seat of a Council/Senate or Court I want to speak with you so that this can be arranged. If you represent a different party or nation and would like an invite, also, do shout.

Location date and time to be arranged but hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Nethergarde or Theramore have been suggested as possible locations, but I need help picking somewhere practical enough. The aim here is to host a decent and, most importantly, enjoyable event. So I’m open to suggestions.

Even if you do not hold a Council seat or form part of its entourage, there is still a whole host of reasons you could be there. We’re not seeking to exclude anyone from this event but bear in mind the theme is that of an Ambassadorial Ball So... have a good reason.

Ideas that might make it more entertaining…

Master of Ceremonies – Someone to announce the arrivals as they enter the event.
Barmaids/Waiters – People willing to mingle IC and sell/supply drinks & nibbles.
Guards/Sentries – An armed troop to offer their service as protection for the event.
Entertainers – Are you an expert in your national dance? Can you recite a few lines of song from your homeland?

It’ll be rich pickings for pickpockets perhaps masquerading as any of the above

Lovely idea! It'll be nice to get people from all of the different Alliance factions together for schmoozing rather than for war, should be quite the RP opportunity. I'm looking forward to it.

Woah sounds great! I would suggest a place like Theramoore.... Its easily accesible for almost everyone, and its fairly easy to go there by boat-FP

As for Nethergarde, I think all capitols have that Blasted lands portal, thus a friendly way of getting there.

Elloa, I'm sure we can work something out, would definately welcome more Draenei to the event (not just because you have the best dancing >> ).

In contact with Eloresh to beat out a few details already, how would it suit to schedule this as one of the first events once the SW Council come back officially from their break, as in the same week you guys come back? Couple of weeks away I know, but enough time to sort things out IC.

The Darnassus Circle seems to fear the prospect of drunk dwarves piddling in the moonwells and Mages/DK's etc breathing on Kaldorei soil.

It's not my say, of course, but maybe Stormwind Intelligence should make an appearance as covert guards? Seeing as the security of the Alliance could be severely compromised if something bad happens to so many high-ranking officials.

I love this idea so much! I'm really looking forward to this, it's such a great idea. I think Theramore would be a good place for it from an in-character perspective, but I don't think there's an actual like "ball room" thing to hold the event in there? At any rate, I'm looking forward to this so much.

Well, there is some sort of "ball room" there, actually... the tower where Jayna is should do the trick I think Or maybe even in the Barracks... I dont know I guess someone will have to check it out to see if the place fits the situation or not

Anyway away from Anaei's wet fantasies back on topic. Not sure about level restrictions for participants but could even do a partial clear of Kara to represent the 'ballroom'?

It's got some great areas and not like I don't think there would be 40+ people in attendance, or maybe i'm wrong? Not sure how big this was planned to be

I would think it'd be a bit disappointing if no more than 10 showed up for the ball.

How about the Hall of Explorers in Ironforge? I don't know how much ooc traffic that area normally sees.
