well, the folders are regions. Do I send him a region?

Yeah, your fortress is on that particular region, universe. If you want to share it with your friend, you need to share the whole package.

After all, it would be so traumatic to implant the poor dwarves into an alternate world...

I think it'd be pretty hilarious.

Ok, I sent the region to a friend. He put it in his \save folder, and he can't open it

is he using the exact same version and graphics mods as you?

No idea, but that makes it sound like that matters.

So ill be back on Sunday. Who has the fortress now? If nobody has taken 4th yet ill take that when i get back at Sunday.

I would, but I'm still learning how to do rather important things like... Supply fire to forges.

Get the fortress from Lini when you get back if nobody else has claimed it from her by then

Don't be afraid of that, chum! You can observe what horrid things we've done to the Fort and learn! Also it might generate interesting dilemmas for the future rulers --> all the more fun!
A li'l variety won't bother (atleast me) a bit, it's just like extinguishing fire with gasoline! n.n

Also, I'll be back in order by saturday, I could take it from Lini, if no one else showed up before, but on the other hand, waiting one day for Elzbag to get a turn would do little harm.

My vote goes to: If anyone, no matter new or old wants to step to the challenge, we'll give the turn to them. If no one appears by sunday, Elzbag gets to play.

So this sunday my reign will begin (possibly).
I will see to it that every dwarf with a job i see as non-essential is put into my soon to be made decapitator squad!
Also i think im gonna try and start a war with the elves :F (chopping trees and taking caravans by force FTW!!!!) or maybe make sure i get enough bears so i can start breeding my war bear army first.....

Unless you're super awesome at training dwarves, you're not going to have a militia well-trained enough to take on elves within a year

He said start a war.

He never said anything about winning.

Just to note. Losing is fun!
But im gonna make training weapons and start making a army. I also really want a bear cavalery....

War with the elves sounds great, since I don't think we even have goblins to threaten our fortress. At least they're not listed on the civilizations screen.
