Legion - General Discussion

May as well write, for those that's actually used this forum to check on the news on the new expansions in the past in these threads; I won't be posting any information about this one, unlike both MoP and Draenor.

Mainly because I don't give a fuck about this expansion. It looks terrible.

I agree, even though it was only an announcement showcase, i'd rather not see those uber weapons held by everyone. Some though seem more fine then others, like the hunter spear, monk staff. Don't think it helps if the custumization is little with them as well. We only saw a few color shemes and about 5 diffrent model versions, which is something but not a whole lot really. Being able to seperately customize hilts, blades and so on would give you more options.

Seen the mention of class redesign. Now is that a good or bad thing. Well both. The end result will determine though thowards what it will lean.

Either way probably gonna play Legion eventually least to try it. But just getting Hyped will end up in disapointment. As always expect there to be a good number of bad things that people won't be happy with.

EDIT: I also wonder if you'll be able to transmog those weapons (since you won't get any new/other ones aparently), hope you will be able to.

Keep in mind that 5 models with 4 skins each is 720 separate artifacts that people will be running around with.

Yes, but the point is your spec.. For example Ret paladins who will all have ashbringer. Have 5 diffrent model choices and 4 color schemes.

That's 20. And color schemes being just color schemes the models are just 5 (least so far, but can just end up being so much at the end too).

There isn't much diffrence if all of your weapon is red or blue if it's the same thing, just the color scheme might match what else you're wearing a bit better. 4 diffrent colors isn't much.

Artifacts can be transmogrified into other items. Other items cannot be transmogrified into Artifacts.

This is very much like/part of that model. Which isn't a "bad" thing. Just something I thought when watching the video/info.

I'm kind of going "Really? Oh for pete's sake" in terms of plotting here. Two legion expansions in a row just feels a little, I don't know, lazy?
If I was them I'd have had a different theme with one of the threads building into this being the one after.

Got to say I really don't like the artifact weapons thing. Just no. I was glad they decided players couldn't wield Ashbringer etc.
I don't want a weapon that's the same as everyone else's, even if it they do come up with some weird lore shit as to why I've got it.

Sad to see PVP gear and conquest go, but hey ho, not surprised.

You're also all going to be the boss of your class.

I'm in love with thought of melee Hunter and hunter spec changes in general.

I also like PvP changes, atleast in theory and for now.

God damn it Tanzui forget hunters where is your love for rogues! Am curious what will happen to us.

Finaly an expansion where we stop focusing on the god damned green jesus and its green boggers the orcs. About time the Alliance got some proper love.

And about rogues: Yes. Will be waiting to see what they have in mind for the masterclass! Ranged spec maybe? .. no? Dayum..

The only two things worthwhile that's been mentioned so far: Melee hunters, offensive disc priests.

Especially the latter. Fuck yes, give me more reason to smite spam Tantzui's face.

Nothing like spreading good and glory of the holy light to the pitifull species of the Horde.

Rogues - sub is more ninja, combat is more pirate, assassination will be poisons/dots.

Hopefully not beyond the planning stages, mind. They have to be pretty careful with how much WoD killed a lot of interest in their game, it'd be a bit naive.

Saw that interview and i was satisfied something was said about rogues. But then again we were told a lot of things in the past already and nothing really too great has happened... So i'm not getting my hopes up really.

I mean they made Sub into a dot spec, Assa is gimick burst right now and combat is a drunk pirate hanging on to anything he can.

A lot of dust is going up over our Class Hall, justified if not perhaps too much. Still probably not the best idea to not mention why not Ravenholdt and just jump to Dalaran sewers. We'll see how that goes though.

I'd imagine they haven't made anything that would exist in-game as of yet, but most likely that'll start soon enough, especially how they're still claiming that they want to release expansions faster (claimed for the 10th time by now, but still...). Though if the subs come crashing down as hard as they did with WoD, they might (or they should) wait for a bit longer this time around to be able to cram the 7th expansion full of meaningful changes and stuff.

Or then the "Legion" will bomb so badly that they'll have us wait for 4-5 years before releasing World of Warcraft 2...

I'm worried about the lack of PvP gear. Seeing images of Mythic MoP Raiders on the Timeless Isle that require 6+ people to kill...

They said somebody in full BIS mythic raiding gear will be like 7% stronger in pvp than somebody who just dinged. So gear will be almost a non-factor for pvp.

That's interesting. So I really have to start learning how to pvp. Sad times, sad sad times.

7% is still a lot. Look at versatility, humans are in 95% of all the top arena teams due to their versatility bonus and no need for a trinket.

Vers trinket + racial passive gives about that much?

I'm sure it will work out. Just throwing in my pre-Q_Q
