Also, this takes me back. Brilliant video, really shows just how ridiculous rogues were back in the day. But damn, those were some good days. Every class was ridiculous in it's own way. Aside from warlocks.

You are right, every class was a mess: only one viable talent tree, absurd mechanics, awful itemization... To think that all this mess was better and more appealing than the majority of MMOs 10 years ago!

But hell it was fun, since we were all on the same boat

I'm definitely having more fun now. In vanilla I never got past level 40 xD

In vanilla I leveled a resto shaman. Took like 7 months or so. When he was lvl 60 all the gear that was good for him was cloth. Then I decided to get him the full dungeon tier. Over one weekend I played UBRS 12 times (each run back then were about 3-4 hours) before I got what I needed. I was also stuck, while on a friends LAN party (thankfully) in a 26 hour AV.

Vanilla was so fun!!!

When I look at that I'm more likely to think "ohgodwhy" then "Oh! That looks like a fun experience!"

I still can't walk around Blackrock Mountain without that dreadful fear of the rogue 'woosh' sound. It wouldn't suprise me if poor old Noctula the Troll Priest is one of the victims in that video.

Gharb's still in Stormwind. He's just biding his time, waiting for the moment to strike at anyone foolish enough to have forgotten him. Then they're never heard of again.

As for level 40, I kited Geldar around Elwynn for 2 hours at level 40 on Teeru. That was fun. I also killed level 60 Paladins around Tarren Mill through kiting at level 20. It took forever, but I did get them down. I also gave out classes in kiting. (I've probably said these things before at several points. But I really enjoyed Hunter back then.)

In vanilla I was busy twinking at level 35 as a Rogue in AB. Killing all the level 39 twinks making them curse me.

... Yes, I started WoW because a friend convinced me twinking AB was fun. He was right.

Never did get passed like level 36 or something before TBC hit.

At the time people like me who came from far less nice places thought "Oh, that was small time investments. Wusses playing WoW". xD

Ah, doing dungeons runs late at night, with a boomkin, two shadowpriests, a paladin tank and a rogue.

or the 5 paladins nobody is a healer dungeon runs...

Just saying late night dungeons runs were the best in vanilla, when the goal was to set up a group with people nobody wanted. and you were there shouting in general for 20 minutes before you got a full group.

but blackrockmountain having 3-4 raids clash into each other was also fun as heck.

I once was the instigator to a Tarrenmill-Southshore battle.

I ganked and camped someone (two levels higher than I was). He called help. I called help. The help called help and someone in T2 shows up and kills my help.

I remember the vanilla days of paladins. If you wanted to be retribution that is. You literally had to take every single type of itemisation gear from spell damage, to spell healing. To intellect, to strength. To agility. To hit etc etc.

Sorry to break it to you but you should have checked the more latest news on that, it's an old thing that got scraped.

Looking back at how paladins were I can't believe people endured auto-attacking, 5-minutes buff, two useless talent trees etc. for so long, I'm not sure if we were very stupid or very naive

Fortunately I played a shaman back then: travel form at level 20, double hearthstone, reincarnation, windfury, shocks, uber totems, life was so easy!

5-minute buff was after the change. Wasn't it 2 minutes at the start?
With 30 second seals ( \o/ )

Greater blessing was 15 minutes at first. Normal blessings were 5 mins. Then they got buffed to 30/15.
