Returning home
After receiving a very touching message from –Ledgic/Zech- I have decided to return home, I miss my RP and I Miss the community. I just wanted to know if it still was alive and active, and what is the quality of it? I have not played in many-many MANY years.
Returning, will be like being reborn, as it likely will be filled with new people- hope I am well taken in.
Yours truly D.H

Indeed it has, how is the community now a days? And where can mage-guild RP be found?

Re: Returning home
Horde have the The Horde Arcane Conclave. The Alliance have a few Mage-Roleplayers around, spread among many guilds, but no central gathering or guild.
Most Mage-guilds of recent last two years have always fallen within a month or two of their creation.
Of the community i am unable to give any accurate answer without more specific questions, as i do not know what era you used to play, so i don't know to what to compare.

Re: Returning home
The horde also has the College of Revenants for your undercity-style dark magics, and I believe there is a new magic-centered guild in the making.
And, of course, the Shatterskull Marauders' Circle regiment is always looking to recruit competent casters of any persuasion.

Re: Returning home
AND i mostly Wonder, how is the RP ratio between Horde and alliance? Back in the time one could mostly only find Alliance RP.
Are the suggested Mage Guilds Horde?

Re: Returning home
Yes. Alliance doesn't have an active mage-guild at the moment. That's not to say there isn't any magic RP to be had, there's always magic RP to be had, but it's not in the form of a dedicated guild.
As for the ratio, neither side is coping with serious activity problems, as long as you're not looking to RP in a nice that is too small. If you want to role-play a Draenei that sits around in Shattrath all day, you'll have a tough time finding rp. Same with a Blood Elf sitting around in Silvermoon.
The best thing you can do is join a guild that you find interesting.
Stormwind is, at the moment, the only real hubb on the server where completely random role-play happens 24/7.

Re: Returning home
Well, which Alliance Guilds could you (Anyone) suggest? I am actually considering switching to Horde, now that I really have no People left on either side

Wild Tempest appears to be the only Alliance guild not stuck in the "Streets of Stormwind" mentality. They play alliance military, and do a really good job at creating plots and role-play that react to the changing world and the lore.

Re: Returning home
Pft. Go back to the Horde. Freelancers like to do things outside of Stormwind as well. Sure SW is a hub we return to, since it's a hub one way or another but we do travel about. Right now being in Felwood and moving up to Wintergrasp. More of a exploration/adventure focused guild.only Alliance guild
Also forgeting about Blooming Lotus the pandas? Depends what you're interested really.

Re: Returning home
Hm, strongly considering the horde now.. I am returning and no one of my old contacts appear to still play- Might as well start from scratch entirely.
Would I receive a warm welcome in the Horde?
And which race is most relevant for the RP?

Re: Returning home
I'm alliance through and through, criminal and guard RP is thriving on alliance.
Not sure for horde as I say, but I'm guessing either orc or troll RP should be thriving now, with the whole downfall of Garrosh.

Re: Returning home
Hand of Damnation - Forsaken.
Shatterskull Marauders - Multiracial warband.
Blood Wolf Clan - Multiracial clan based Horde loyalist guild.
Second Gurubashi Empire - Troll only, Gurubashi loyalist guild situated within the Stranglethorn Vale, Troll supremacist, anti-Horde & anti-Alliance.
Orcs of the Red Blade - Orc only, traditional Horde guild.
All information can be easily be found in the registry section of this forum, good luck in your search Ezthele, you unfortunately won't find anything for the character as Ezthele seeing as there are no real cults that can be really even slightly compared to the Dark Sphere from which you come forth!

I think you should base your choice on which race you're most comfortable playing with. Every race is relevant in it's own way.Ezthele wrote:And which race is most relevant for the RP?
Orcs: This is the horde we're talking about, orcs are always relevant. (Orcs of the Red Blade)
Undead: Havn't gotten a lot of things to do recently, but -is- one of the few races that still has a racial guild around (Hand of Damnation).
Tauren: Play a big part in the darkspear resistance.
Trolls: They are the darkspear resistance.
Blood Elves: As a community are dwindling (silvermoon is empty) but as a race are flourishing. Have had a ton of relevant lore this expansion, with their exploits on thunder island and the Sunreavers getting expelled from Dalaran.
Goblins: Heavily under the heel of the Kor'kron, have a small racial guild (The Flying Bolts) going around.
Pandaren: We're in the Pandaren expansion, Pandaren are extremely relevant, and offer a fresh outlook on role-play, being completely new to the world.
I can't speak for the horde as a whole, but in the Shatterskull Marauders we have a dire shortage of Forsaken, Goblins and Pandaren, and the least favorite classes are Warlock and Priest by far.
