Stormwind Merchant Union, for your profit!

Stormwind Merchant Union is a union between the merchants of Stormwind that is looking to protect themselves. What the union offers is protection and a steady team that works together with the crafters and gatherers to get greater discounts from them. To ensure that bodyguards and the likes get paid all they ask is five to ten percent of the shops income and they will be set up with bodyguards to guard their shops against thugs and the likes.

We can offer as soon as we get our fingers out of our arses. Meetings, expeditions to gather rare materials and much more related to profit. Even some shady stuff if you want(but be quiet and dont tell the guards.) We try and keep to the laws within city walls unless the possible profit margin says it's worth it.

IC Rules of the Marchant Guild:

- Every member will pay 5-10% of their income to the guild, this is to pay for protection and other benefits you will see within the guild.
- Fines are imposed on any guild member who violated the Marchant Guild charter
- Members of the guild are protected and any member who feel sick is cared for by the guild. Burials of guild members are arranged and guild take care for any orphans.
- The members of Guilds also provided protection of their horses, wagons and goods when moving about the land as travelling.

OOC Rules

- Dont be a dick
- If you have problems with one within the guild talk to the person first and if the conflict is not resolved ask an officer. Keep the drama out of guildchat.
- No god emoting and whatever follows bad rpers around(We will take to account if you're new and need some help with rp.)
Marchant Guild charter:
- Members of the guild are protected and any member who feel sick is cared for by the guild. Burials of guild members are arranged and guild take care for any orphans.

Ranks:

Spokesman: He is not only the one handling contracts, he is the face of the union and a handsome one at that. Most direct business with the union will have to pass through him at some point.

High merchant: Is a merchant who has proven himself/herself to be a great merchant and knows how to turn most things into profit. He/she will also be the one teaching the prospects and lower merchants the tricks of trade.

High Crafter: Basicly the person responsible to oversee the crafters and gatherers, he/she will come with tips and see that their contracts are good and that the terms are fullfilled both ways.

Overseer: This one is incharge of the bodyguards. He/she makes sure the contracts are good and that they dont sleep on the job. Afterall they are hired to protect the shops and not get drunk on the wine because of it getting cheaper because of discounts.

Merchant: The Merchant is the shop owner and has shown to have a mindset for business. Atleast one or two guards should be at their shops at any given time depending on the contract even more.

Crafter/gatherer: The crafter is the one that makes the wares and is part of the merchant union because of the benefits of a steady cash flow. They might be merchants aswell but raw materials and armour on discount is always good to have.

Bodyguard: Hired to protect the shops. they will get discounts as they also are valuable members and how well they are paid depends on their experience and how well they behave both towards customers and troublemakers.

Prospect: A fresh gatherer/merchant/fighter that has shown some kind of eagerness and talent in the area, he/she will be looked after and trained by an officer in whatever field they are looking towards. If they havent yet decided they can always try all three.

A very interesting idea.

I might actually have a character or two for this, there was an idea in the past to create a front of a merchant union for the Cult of the Damned and use that as an excuse for travelling around.

On the other hand, this has the potential of being pressed by gangsters and extorted.

Before you launch, may I make the recommendation of not limiting yourself to 'Stormwind' and making an over-all merchants union that has it's headquarters in Stormwind?

Reason we call it Stormwind is because the businesses are based there. So ofcourse it makes sense to call it that. Hopefully we will get members all over but the primary focus is to protect interests in Stormwind.

Not sure yet. Depends what the people in the guild wants Very Happy Wanna try and have some expeditions to get rare herbs and stuff though, could be lots of fun.

Things are a bit quiet but we are still around. Kinda hard to recruit and stuff with only one guy and seems Menori is busy with other things so shizzle. Charles is in jail now aswell so that doesnt make it any better.

Going to try and rise up though, a bit hard atm as there are not many merchants around.
