The United Technocratic Republics of Gnomeregan is an unusual state. Unlike others, it does not claim land (apart from a reasonably small area in Dun Murough) but rather considers itself a union of a large group of small gnomish enclaves, Technocratic Republics. While largely autonomous, the republics follow a series of guidelines from the largest republic, Gnomeregan, and in return are supported.
But due to the recent disaster, this traditional model has hit a snag. Even despite successes in the reclamation, gnomeregan finds itself unable to provide the support the gnomish enclaves sorely needs after the cataclysm.

Therefore the Merchant house of the Technocratic Republic was created. The organisation, tasked with the support and protection of gnomekind, has expanded into trade. The idea is to purchase goods required by the markets, from local gnomish communities or through them and then sell it and send the proceeds back. Allowing the Technocratic Republics to support themselves through what they were previously doing. Ensuring that the gnomes can focus just as much on innovation and individualism as they always have.

The Merchant House offers it's services to the greater alliance. Selling gnomish goods, expertise and innovations to those in need. Guaranteeing a fair price and good quality.


What is this?
This is a Rp endevour created by the guild Technocratic Republic to widen our RP repertoaire and provide the Defias Community with what is hopefully entertaining and immersive rp. It is our hope that people would be willing to contact us when they are in need of engineers, technological soloutions or raw materials of various sorts. We seek not to replace the expertise of individual characters, but add to it. If you RP a brilliant engineer working on a masterpiece you could contact us to provide you with rp about aquiring the parts you need for it, even custom making bulks of bolts and screws just for you. If you run a guard guild you could contact us about performing regular service on the rifles or perhaps adding combat-attachments? Or if you're on campaign and want barrels of gunpowder, we'd be willing to produce and haul the explosive goods to your base camp. If your chopper breaks down you could bring it to our workshops and we'll have a look at it.

Our goal is to be the go to guys for IC resources. Hopefully providing a fun and immersive atmosphere for our clients.

Isn't trade more of a goblin thing
Yes. It is. But it sounded like a fun and interesting idea and gnomes have always provided supplies and expertise to the alliance. This way we can provide the typically gnomish themes of assistance and engineering in a interactive way.
Unlike goblins we will also not be profit for the sake of profit, but try to take good care of our customers.

What services will we provide
Currently we have three ventures we're wishging to explore:
Technological expertise
If you need an artisan to look over, maintain and/or repair your equipment, be that guns, clocks, drawbridges, gyrochoppers or fortifications, we intend to offer that service to you. We'll also offer the usual range of gnomish "improvements" for those that ask.
In addition, all our members and small tough gnomes with lifelong experience of explosions. Who better for a demolition job!

Equipment
If you need technological equipment, just place a special order and we'll have it made in... a reasonable amount of time. Needing to outfit an entire unit with weapons? Look no further. Need a new steamtank (we got the latest models, always)? We'll only ask if you want leather seats or pint-holders (or both).
Or perhaps more mundande and practical items such as tools, clocks or a lock.

Materials
Perhaps you're more into building something yourself? Or need explosives for your mine? Contact us and we'll assemble the requested quantities through our network of contacts among the world's gnomes. Wether it is wood, stone, metals or produced goods such as cloth, bolts and screws, ammunition or similar.
In the cases were you need a rather rare and special good, we will be prepared to aqcuire it for you if we can.

Will you provide actual in-game goods
We might, but mostly well handle our transactions on strictly IC goods. Mostly because we're not really that interested in grinding stuff as much as the mercantile rp. We will of course not charge actual money.

Do you have a pricelist
No, not yet. And probably never will. Instead we will opt to handle all price negotiations ingame. If it proves very popular we might add recommended prices however.
