Re: [A+H] Lionheart
Activity has nothing to do with it, you had it one way and others had it different, usually depending on what circles they were in, so of course the people you spoke to mostly agreed with you. I on the other hand, amongst others, had a completely different experience. Those are the facts and they're not even relevant to this thread, that you had it one way in the past doesn't have any significance to others, it only does inside your head.

Drustai wrote:Actually, we have never treated server first kill as dead in lore, because in every previous expansion we have always waited for the end of the patch (or expansion) before reacting to it at all.
We're not doing that this time. We're going to actually RP it this time.
There you go.Gor'Thrak Frosthowl wrote:Correction, a single group of some people on DefiasRP treated it as such.Raelan wrote:We most definitely did. I remember Wotlk, with the Lich King quite clearly. (Could've been Heroic to be fair, but server first nonetheless).
And I wish you luck finding guilds who want to RP the Siege for two months (+)

Please keep discussions focused on the actual campaign. If you want to talk about what is serverlore or whatnot, do it in another thread. Thanks.

Re: [A+H] Lionheart
Okay, I hate OOC planning, but as there's been some complaints about how we handle this finale, I'd like to present how I intend to manage things from here.
Due to mixups with the Horde on when the launch of the last wing of flexi-raid would be, things got a bit rushed needlessly. Therefore, this is how I see things right now.
1) A last War Council, where we will go over the following points in-character.
2) First Alliance RP guilds arrive at Northwatch Hold on the 25th of September. Not every guild needs to arrive on this date. There will be 4 weeks from here until we treat Orgrimmar as conquered. Guilds may choose to arrive at any point after the 25th, but I'd recommend being in Durotar by the 12th of October by the latest as we will begin full invasion RP at that point.
3) Over the course of the week after arriving, guilds should be running events involving supplying and supporting the siege, cutting off Orgrimmar's supply routes, engaging/defending from kor'kron, and so on. Eventually, we push our way north to Tiragarde Keep.
3) Once at Tiragarde, we begin preparing for the invasion.
4) Around the 12th of October, we begin full invasion. At this point we will begin running semi-IC flexiraids, focusing primarily on Gates of Retribution and Underhold. People who wish to participate will need at least 500 ilevel. Probably even more, so get gearing. I'd also suggest some groups who are unable to do the flexiraid, to hold events in Ragefire Chasm, LBRS, or even Firelands, treating it as raids on Garrosh's Underhold.
4) We will look into having Orgrimmar conquered by the 22nd of October. Garrosh's demise will be left up in the air, and we will treat his Underhold as being under attack for the remainder of the patch (even if Garrosh is defeated, one can assume there are many kor'kron holdouts that would need to be eliminated).
5) Alliance shall remain in Durotar for the remainder of the patch, rotating guilds in and out. After the city is taken, RP will shift to clean up, reconstruction, medical aid, diplomacy, and policing. Assuming we've managed to clear the raid, we may use Gates of Retribution for a few events to RP in Orgrimmar itself.
How does this sound to people?

The Marauders, Red Blade and Blood Wolves intent to count Garrosh as dead one week after the release of the last wing of the Flex raid.
That means the 8th of October.
I'm sure that can change, though.

The Horde's dates are wrong, which is why I'm going for the 22nd instead. I've informed Rargnasha of the proper dates.

It is not stated. Only that he intends on putting a garrison at Theramore (which I am assuming/hoping will be added in 5.5). Also, even if we do withdraw, we don't have to withdraw immediately. We'll withdraw fully by 5.5, which one can assume is when the new Horde government manages to get everything in order to properly self-govern again.Krogon Devilstep wrote:According to Varian at the end of the raid cinematics don't the alliance withdraw to dustwallow and theramore?Drustai wrote:5) Alliance shall remain in Durotar for the remainder of the patch, rotating guilds in and out. Re: [A+H] Lionheart
One of the criticisms during the last campaign was a lack of activity between the main battles. While it's fine to expect guilds to organise their own minor events, this works best if the overall command is setting objectives, e.g. a guild might be allocated responsibility for capturing a particular location within a three day period, but it's up to the individual guild to decide exactly when to put on an event within that time frame, how to run it, and whether to ask for support from other units.

Its Nice to know the Alliance have leapt into the plot of this patch with gusto equal to if not greater than that of the horde.
Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Yeah i guess some set objectives would be nice like make a what to do list. Sure people could still make their own events but some aren't very imaginative to do so fully.
Also that fuzzy feeling is the blood from the wound i stabed you <3

Re: [A+H] Lionheart
Freelancers and Regiment are generally talking to each other about this lots. Though i still wonder about other guilds, shields, Dol, whatsyour face other guild. These besides tempest i'm pretty sure won't be for the full run, how long do you others plan to stay for this?
I know that even though i'd love to see this non stop to the end might try like 2 weeks then see. For now still trying to decide how to jump to Northwatch since we already got a event in kalimdor before it. To jump directly or go back to city then to northwatch i guess we'll see.

The Dwarves are about to get shipped out, I reckon (depends on the "speed" of command really), but we ought to join the Siege soon enough.

What's the plan for the final War Council? When we spoke, Areyah, you suggested it would be today. Is that still the case and, if so, what time and location?

Final War Council? You make it sound that there wouldn't be wars after this siege?
Jokes aside, i've not heard of any such to happen, but i personally recommend just the tactical leaders of organisations to gather in a location on Kalimdor and discuss IC how to best start the approach once least some guilds are found in the area, not like we all need to clump up there at the same time before we can have our meetings.
