Yes, I'd post myself if my sub was active, but it isn't, so I can't. So I'm just leaving this here for anyone with some free time and willingness to make a short post to point someone toward DB.

No I'm not, Vaell. If you get antagonised by a thread pointing people to a thread asking for advice on servers, that happens to mention AD, you need to sort your life out.

While your intentions may be good, people here find it offensive because of some alternatives.
1: it highlights a potential problem
2: you've posted a lot of these kinds of threads before
3: they don't care

People on these forums especially don't like Argent Dawn because of the amounts of "shit" it has that is due to its popularity and the fact that it actually get new roleplayers. Considering that, it's not surprising that people here don't care if new players are directed to Argent Dawn. That's where we want them and the shit to stay, right?

So considering that, while your intentions as said may be good, I don't think these threads serve a purpose on these forums. The people posting here on the forums are satisfied with the state of the server, for good or bad.

I don't care if some people don't care. Some people do, hence why they take the time to post. If others don't, then that's good for them. If they're happy with how the server is, why post that in every thread and state how much I DON'T CARE AND YOUR THREAD OFFENDS ME?

I'm no psychologist, but there is a certain set of "fandom" involved in it. The people who feel antagonized by this thread like this server and the RP on it, disliking AD's RP, and then come to see you posting about how we're losing new people to "that other server" because of a lack of presence on the official forums. They're gonna feel antagonized because it contradicts their notion of DB being fine. So sure, perhaps "do not care" is not the right word, but there is a tribalistic reasoning behind it that does share your view.

So judging from the responses, I'd say that people rather don't care to do anything to solve the potential problem, and thus I feel this thread doesn't really do anything, plus I agree with Gor'Thrak's sentiment. Then again, there might be people posting on the realm forums in reaction to this thread who don't bother to respond on these forums which we may never know about, so maybe it has a use that I just don't see.

The OP in the post i know. And in the end it will be his own choice. PvP isn't really his thing as he said . In the end it's his choice, this isn't a advertisement war.

All people need to say is: Try both realms once more, this one has more this this, this one that that and both are alive enough. Then that's how it is.

No need to make a new thread every single time a post comes up regarding AD and DB.

And Zaraj both realms get new RPers, just one less than the other, since on DB i asume one would either start RPing but their main goal wouldn't have been RP at first, or someone becouse he doesn't like AD as much (Or another realm) aka he would prefer DB's system and not mind the "Cons" so much.

While people from the start wanting to mostly just RP will pick AD (In most cases). In the end it's up to personal opinion.
It's nice to aid opinion to threads, but we don't need a thread here everytime one pops up on realm forums!
