Challenge mode call out. (PVE)

OUTDATED. This was from an early challenge mode set of gold runs, go further down to my recent post regarding the current call out for a new set of runs.

Or rather a "Looking for" thread. More or less trying my luck here just incase.

Anyhow the idea is myself and three others are looking in to doing gold run challenge modes to which would be myself on my tank blood dk alt, Lavian, a ww monk, resto druid and a fury warrior. What we're looking for however is the 5th which needs to be some form of DPS with Heroism based buff, because heroism.

What will be required is that this 5th person atleast has full heroic gear from the mists 5 man dungeons as PVP gear won't cut it, however raid gear is also a plus because of gem slots and gems don't get diminished in Challenge Modes. It's also worth noting for those that are not aware but that also makes it impossible to out gear challenge mode because all equipment over ilevel 463 gets scaled down to 463 which is the ilevel heroic gear is on. To sum it up, your flashy ilevel 483 raid finder gear will be 463 in challenge mode.

However that said your damage also has to be very good and skype will be required for communication if we are going to achieve gold medals. So yeah, you must know how to DPS with your class or there's no point, one slacking DPS can screw up an entire run and if that's the case there's no point.

I myself have personally healed them all on my paladin to gold medals and they are as they say it is, a challenge. Expect to use flasks/food buffs/dps potions.

TLDR: Looking for DPS shaman/mage/hunter for their heroism based goodness( And damage of course!), needs ilevel 463 pve gear(Gemmed,enchanted if applicable) or above and for gods sake must know how to play their class for max damage opportunities.

EDIT: Also don't worry about making mistakes, if damage is low for a run or few? It's ok, if you do something you're not suppose to? That's ok too. It's all trial and error when it comes to challenge mode. Mistakes will happen.

As a frost mage I would totally be interested. Have zero challenge mode experience but I like to think I know my class and am fairly skilled in pve. Feel free to poke me ingame for more info if you wish

I'll have a look into it when I get back. Away to leave to head to my evening course. The experience of the others is as limited as yourself except our resto druid who has done one of them on gold. So it will be trial and error for all of them pretty much and myself from a tanking point of view as healing for gold and tanking for gold are pretty different! However they're all people with gladiator experience in the PVP side of the game and people i've known for years to which I can vouch for their PVE viability.

However i'll poke you when I can for more information later on, for now I must dash.

Righto. Using this thread as an update as I plan to attempt this once again.

I am looking into doing more challenge mode gold runs once again and at this point looking for two people. I have experienced challenge modes in gold runs with both my holy paladin and death knight(With Sorayah up there) at this point and will do it next as a restoration druid.

Our composition so far is resto druid(Me) feral druid(Tachal) and protection paladin (Tachal's brother). What we're looking for now is two high DPS who know how to play their class and know how to step out of the fire. Mistakes will happen and that is ok but I cannot afford to carry deadweight who cannot suceed in their roles. What I am looking for specifically is something with heroism(ele Shaman/mage etc) and pref something else high DPS such as a warlock or a hunter(Or if you're some other form of ranged with good DPS). I'm hesitant in taking more than one melee for this as Tachal, our lovely feral druid is the one melee in this and melee are at more of a disadvantage in gold runs.

I had hopes for my warrior until I started reading x.x

When I was running them on my Death Knight our composition was Blood DK(Me, ze tank)/Resto druid/mage/shadow priest/fury warrior. In most cases I out DPS'ed our fury warrior, not because he was bad, the player behind him is pretty good. It's that melee suffer's the most in CM's and warrior damage isn't that amazing in CM levels it would appear.

Noone wants melee nowadays. I say we buff every melee class and grant them a 150% damage buff.

And make it work in arenas as well, yup.

Well, I have a tanking monk that I want to do CMs with. If you dont get any takers then Tachal could maybe go dps? I know tactics, lawl!

As stated we already have a tank, Tachal's brother who is a prot paladin.

Sounds like a reason for me to finally get my mage the last few levels to 90... We'll see if I do however, and got a bit of things happening irl at the moment. I'll get back to you if I do!

Hmmh we'll see. The intent is to start as soon as possible.

An update however: We need only one more person now which should be ranged and have pretty good damage like a hunter/warlock/mage/shadow priest etc. Rough outline. My comp is now as follows.

Elemental shaman, restoration druid, feral druid, protection paladin.

Supperior intellect sometimes make you draw connections others do not

I got a Destro lock if it's impossible to find people, aswell as a WW monk. Both 495+ ilvl. Plus I've done 'em already on my main (Resto drood) so I got the experience. *nodnod* poke me in WT chat on skype or sumthing if ya need me.

Reviving this old post for an interest check really. I want to get my druid the CM set before it all goes away as I was in the middle of doing just that before workload hit and find myself having time again. My druid already has one gold medal and as previously mentioned in this thread both my Paladin and DK, Lavian and Aneíra already have 9/9 gold with medals.

So this is an interest check for any alliance who may want to go up for this on a toon. Lacking everything really as I plan to heal this on my druid so no healers required! Would really prefer those at this point with experience in some form so it can be done as painlessly as possible although I should state work times may interfear here and there but it should be fine.

TLDR: Interest check(if any)

EDIT EDIT: Tachal desecrated his CM set and he should feel bad.

I would love to get it the set on my monk. He is "fairly" geared (520 ilvl) but I am a bit rusty with him so I need to do some practicing. Both tank and dps specced but you'de probably want someone else to tank.

I could join on Coppersocket, my warrior. She's tank geared but I should do fairly well in Fury too since I have weaponry/trinkets to add to the damage.

Got a restoration shaman.

Could come around on my mage, though seems I need to get some PvE gear for that still.

My mage is gemmed, enchanted ilevel 540 pve.

I'd be interested in doing this on the rogue. But if someone else wants a dps spot more take them.
