With the 5.3 change, using Devotion Aura will remove the silence effect on you. We will clarify the patch note.

I made a conscious effort to read all Quest text when levelling through Pandaria. Whilst a lot of it was "Grab Pork Asses", the particularly quest line for Dezco was as people have said. Heavy.

Actually a spoiler:

So WoW has lost another 1.3 mil subs since last year according to the latest figures. Down to 8.3mil active players. Still a behemoth but they have also admitted to feeling pressure from free-to-play games (most notiably in Asia). Their plan of action is to release content more frequently but they have been saying that for years. Personally, I hope it goes free-to-play because I only really subscribe to RP!

If free to play also means I can buy heirlooms or even character levels with my wallet, Sign me up!

EDIT: Also, hats.

I'd come back to RP if it went f2p.
Reason I left was since I didn't find value for money in the game anymore so.

The current subscription fee thing is still giving them alot of profit. And from what I heard those were mostly Asian countries(China being the largest one). I also see less and less goldsellers, which would explain a bit.

So looking at the Battlefield: Barrens stuff included in the next patch...has Blizzard answered any questions about how exactly can you character still go on about his/her daily business in Orgrimmar, after having slayed dozens of Kor'kron troops at Sen'Jin and Barrens? Or is it all done extremely secretively and they always manage to kill any possible eyewitnesses? Or is it just "Yeah, we don't want to make peeps mad by locking down Orgrimmar completely, so just take all that stuff OOCly..."?

...or did I just miss some part about your character getting phased in Orgrimmar during that quest chain, being unable to interact with bankers, auctioneers and such, while also getting glared/attacked by Kor'kron troops? Probably not...

What I'd love to see is (although Blizzard would NEVER do this), is give the Orcs and the Tauren (which are the only two races that Garrosh sees worthy) get a choice on which side they wish to stand on, and if enough people decide upon joining Garrosh, Blizzard would change their idea of killing off Garrosh, and instead he breaks off from Thrall's horde, alive, and builds up his own faction.
Adding a third faction in to the game.

If WoW goes F2P I'll quit.

Also, I read this today and it summed up my thoughts on MoP better than I've ever been able to:

it doesn't have to do with how realistic it is... pandaren just are NOT worthy of a full-fledged expansion. they were always so minor because yes they WERE originally a joke. i wanted to see something relevant to the lore like the emerald dream. the gameplay is good, the mechanics of the game are much smoother now. the IMMERSION is not good. which it used to be and is supposed to be because it's supposed to be an RPG...

I was actually surprised how well the pandabears turned-out to be, considering how they started as a joke. Maybe if I would be invested in the lore on some deeper level, I probably would've preferred seeing something else instead...but as it is now, I think I can wait for another expansion to roll-out, where the focus turns on the old lore once again.

There's plenty relevant lore for a full-fledged expansion in the alliance vs horde conflict. Having an expansion centered around, say, the Emerald Dream would've just introduced yet another big bad that would have taken the limelight away from the war. Immersion isn't good to some because they've beforehand decided that they don't like pandas.

Personally I think MoP is leaps and bounds above Cata and visually and thematically only barely below WotLK.

Aye, much better then Cata. But I was still not a massive fan. Like, gameplay is awesome, and actually stand alone, I don't mind the Pandaria lore, I love the Klaxxi for instance. Love them to bits. But I don't think it adapted very well to many peoples view of WoW and or WoW roleplay.

Gameplay wise Cata was more balanced between classes than MoP is today (even if it was horribly unbalanced compared to WotLK). Other than that, I agree that the war between the factions finally got some well-deserved attention.
