Re: Mists of Pandaria
Cross-faction groups.
If the next expansion turns out to be the fight against the big bad evil that is the Legion, coupled with the peace after ganking Garrosh, this would even make sense lorewise

I'm in agreement of that idea aswell. The ability to be able to /party other faction players granted under specific rulesets. Wrathion makes it clear that both factions will have to unite if they're to stand "against the comming darkness" which is heavily hinted towards the legion invasion with the holographic globe he shows of Azeroth being infernally bombarded. Mists has essentially been uniting the non garrosh horde and the alliance to closer ties (Sunreaver with kirin tor etc on isle) in the more recent updates to which started as a faction war and now specifically closer and closer to a tyrannical warchief even the horde want to put down.
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't but who knows.

I'd like to be able to be in the same raid group as my opponents in a battleground, so that we may discuss the terms of engagement in a civil, composed manner.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I recall Ghostcrawler said something to the effect that the new feature would be a huge deal for some people, but leave others a little underwhelmed - cross-faction groups would definitely be underwhelming for me if they're only confined to instanced PvE. If it's in the open world, then I'd withhold judgment to see the full effects in terms of WPvP, RP and such.
Now, if we want to get completely blue-sky for new features, I'd love to see player-created content - I think they did something like this in the now defunct City of Heroes MMO.
It'd give you the ability to create scenario-like PvE instances with a pre-existing database of terrain, mobs and other objects at your disposal - to create ludicrously challenging encounters for non-RPers; and for RPers, the sky's the limit, in terms of event ideas.
If Blizz ever implemented something like that, I'd get properly hooked into the game again without a second's thought.

Speaking of cross-faction role-play, I decided to finally utilize the unique opportunity of the Pandaren race: play the same character on both factions. Currently working as a messenger and/or spy with doubtful allegiences.

I can't see cross-faction grouping coming in unless, as Sadok said, it's in PvE raids etc.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Cross faction kinda makes sense in a way, if we join to fight the BL. But makes little sense mechanics wise, and would be HUGE. Not something as "cool but unimportant" as this is made to sound.
Dance Studio has my first vote. As it's supposedly something they've "talked about for ages", and DS has been mooted since Vanilla. It's niche (very) and kinda pointless. If potentially fun (for all of 10 minutes).
Some kind of cross account professions thing. Maybe, maybe. But so many Blue (or Ghostcrawler) posts/Twitter comments suggest this isn't something that's universally liked at Blizz HQ. I can kinda see why. Profession maxing is a grind and ballache at times. But it's supposed to be. Maybe when you've done it once you don't want / need to again. Maybe it could be for secondary professions only. Dunno.
As an aside, and FYI, if you've got access to Battlenet from where you are, go check the prices on Race/Faction/Appearance change. This is for EU only afaik. Seems they've been halved.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Player-made content is too big.
Cross-faction groups are too important to be a minor unannounced thing. Unless by grouping with another faction, you transform into faction of the leader. Bit like Caverns of Time work. Worgen->Goblin, Human->Orc. That kinda stuff.
Dance-studio has been announced.
Race models have been announced.
So.....hard. No idea. Mhhhhh.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Dance Studio has never been "announced". Not with a specific time or date or any actual "we're ready to make this live". It's only been "suggested" at best for the past few years. Sure it was an "announced planned feature" way back in the mists of time, but I'd still say it has to be high on the list of possible options for this "big news 5.4" thing.
Race models would be a "no" from me. Maybe they'll come in, some time. But it's not the thing I'd be expecting, not at all. However, if the Trolls look anything like those from ToT... I think I could live with that.

I still think they're going to save the new race models to be announced as a big feature of the next xpac.

Yep. That makes a lot of sense. Entice back old people, revamp new stuff. Then head off "somewhere".
The changes to prices for stuff mean I might change my shaman (to troll) and try him out again. Maybe even my lock (back to troll) too. I see a troll theme. Might make someone something else just to keep balance.
