Mists of Pandaria
Feel pity for warriors. Blizz gave them CD stacking again, they'll be shit as soon as they nerf that :p Make Reck cancel the banner aura and don't let them use avatar with either of those 2 and warr is fine. Also, I'd whine about Gag Order, but it's being removed so np.
Meanwhile, I'll enjoy being a decent arena healer solely based on my ability to shut warriors down.
@Erahn, for duels Mass Reflect is better, I'll give you that. But for large scale WPVP I dare say you'll never be able to reflect the spell you were trying to. Safeguard wins out because you'll always be close to some ally and it DOES dispell all snares on you.

I miss the original warbringer. If mages want to whine about warriors, they are too late. Although it was still the one playing best who won back then, with a slight edge for the mage. One mistake from the warrior and he was pretty much dead.
For those unfamiliar, start of wrath:
[Warbringer, protection (36points?) talent - You may now charge in combat and your intercept, charge, and intervene now removes movement impairing effects]

Prot warrs weren't really an even match for anybody before they nerfed Warbringer. They wrecked everything. Every 1v1 duel was in the prot warrior's favor back then

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Providing an environment where players can compete in the spirit of fair play is extremely important to us, particularly in rated Player versus Player combat. As part of that commitment we regularly monitor gameplay, and have discovered an issue where some Arena teams have exploited the queuing system to obtain high team ratings, “dodge” unfavorable team compositions, and engage in win trading.
These, and all, exploitative activities are absolutely prohibited. We will investigate the situation carefully, and players that have been found to have participated in exploitation will be subject to the appropriate actions against their World of Warcraft accounts. In the meantime, we are currently working to resolve any remaining issues with the queue system to prevent this behavior in the future.

Pretty sure it wasn't.
Viable I mean. Also yes MMR exploiting wouldn't surprise me. Guess its still the same as before I quit.

Mages do not have the right to wine... Ever... :< As if they really need to cast tht much anyway.
I made the mistake of leveling two of the least viable (rogue and disc priest) classes to 90 at the start of MoP, although I found Holy priesting kind of fun in BGs, meanwhile slowly teaching myself to become a better rogue, although my damage remains very meh.

Disc priests are fabulous while leveling through dungeons, though.

The most mediocre paladin I've ever known got gladiator in S5 playing ret/holy :p Remember, ret dealt incredible damage + unreal self healing while holy pally had bubble in the season of pure DK which made ret/holy the only comp that could stand up to a DK Team.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Scenarios are looking to move the story forward. Here's two from a Alliance point of view:
My initial reaction to the Zan'vess one was "Great! The Alliance and Horde are finally using their military for something useful, namely, killing mantid: but it turns out they're both after some Mantid superweapon or something. I should have known. I also realised what fat good it is having a huge wall to keep people from entering the Dread Wastes when the Horde and Alliance have massive fleets and giant airships at their disposal.
Regardless, an Alliance and Horde presence in the Dread Wastes is a step forward in the story department.
Now, more intrestingly is the Temple of the Red Crane one, where it seems like the Horde are nothing but "kukuku we're in your temple, what are you going to do about it?" mustauche-twirling villains. The opening shot of the Scenario is literally an Orc cackling in the centre of the temple. If he had a mustauche, he would be twirling it. They seem to be wanting to ambush the Alliance, but what incentive does the Alliance have to actually bother with the Temple, besides helping the Pandaren deal what can only be described as an invasion?
They even seem to charge out to try and take Crane Wing Refuge at one point, you know, a pandaren refugee camp. I'm not sure what the Horde motivation for this could be other than to give the Alliance an excuse to act unabashedly heroic. I really hope there's a Horde equivalent where the Alliance are doing the twirling, else it is going to get increasingly hard to stay neutral as a Pandaren, with the Horde acting like jerks taking our temples and the Alliance swooping in to safe us.
Also, the scenario version of the Temple of the Red Crane looks de-Sha'd. I wonder if they are going to give us a de-Sha'd phase of the Red Crane Temple in the actual world? I would love that, it would make it a much more flexible and viable role-playing spot.
Good stuff.

Exactly one week after the Terrace of Endless Spring was released to the general public trough LFR.
Huh.
Well what do you know? Blizzard is getting better at planning content. Beforehand they had promised that they would more regularily release content for Mists at steady intervals. This gives me good hope that they'll actually stick to the schedule this time.
I wonder how much time there will be between this content patch and the next?

Well there were in-game hints that the first patch would take 2 months. So I suppose we'll see in the game how long next one will take.

I'm excited in that case! What the hell is Dalaran going to look like tomorrow?! Will it have moved? Will there be a scenario of kicking out the Horde? Will Jaina ever realise her mistakes and marry my character? Find out tomorrow on an all new episode of 'Monthly Subscription'.Ledgic Caan wrote:Vaell wrote:So if it is this wednesday in NA, will it be next week for us?

EDIT: On a side note, I suggest in tonight's council that the war effort be a priority topic! With troops moving there tomorrow and all.
