Basicly the point I was trying to make is that being a dick to dicks doesn't make you a non-dick: it makes you the bigger dick. A doubledick, if you will.

Blinding Light Emits a dazzling light in all directions, blinding enemies within 10 yards, causing them to wander disoriented for 6 sec. 8% of Base Mana. Instant. 2 min cooldown. 1.8 sec cast. 2 min cooldown.

No more blinding all those shitty stampedes (Without aura) to stop some of that horrific burst. Sad
Won't be a problem to continue using it in CC chains though.

Also what are you smoking to say that Shockwave is dispellable? If by dispellable you mean can be bubbled/Hop'ed/Trinketed like Cyclone(minus bubble/hop) then sure, whatever. Shockwave is a physical stun. Warriors are pretty good as it is and are top of the representation in PVP (In PVP that matters, none of your silly 1on1 dueling). By your logic of "dispellable, so can anything else with the right cooldown.

Short in comparison that they nerfed Shockwave CD to 40 seconds when it lasts half as long as Cyclone if not less, with less range and is dispellable if you actually can count that the mage for one example can blink out of it and immediatly start casting again.
Scenario: Mage made ring of frost, warrior is stuck and avatar/trinket on CD along with the spell reflects earlier in fight. Mage begins to cast some strong spell, icelance or whatnot while standing within 10 yards and gets a shockwave in its face. It just blinks out, thus dispelling the stun and keeps on casting, well within the timer of the ring of frost and kills the warrior.

Not smoking anything, I prefer facts. Warriors actually got decently balanced at start of MoP, but got nerfed to shit due to people expecting free wins against Warriors and instead loses, which we all know what happened next. Sure, we needed some tweaking, which class doesn't? But instead of taking a crap on the class as such, they could've lessened the burst and we'd be fine.
Instead we get miserable if not crappy mobility, lousy defenses since silences suddenly were deemed OP after being ingame for HOW MANY YEARS, and we STILL got the bloody OP burst that were the cause of problem to begin with! Bloody hell, people need to learn how to THINK!

Havn't read the other posts yet so if I missed something I missed something.

Your logic is flawed, Cid.

Sure Shockwave has been given a longer cooldown but thats ok, have you seen that warriors are the top chain in the PVP data rankings? Every team has a warrior. I wonder why. Anyhow moving on. The "fact" about the mage can apply to any stun in this game. My hammer of justice/warrior charges,shockwave/ feral pounces, bear bashes, DK stun (ghoul still stuns right?), Monk stuns/knockdown, shaman totem stuns... Well you get the idea? It can all be "dispelled by a mage" so shockwave isn't mutually exclusive in that regard. Your problem in your scenario there is you're talking 1on1 with a mage and warrior, get out of the mentality this game is balanced 1on1. Of course a mage with a braincell or even lack off is going to crap on you in 1on1, they're a strong class also. If you based your scenario on arena play or rated battleground play then you will have team support to save you from the mage, perhaps maybe a.... Cleanse on that ring of frost instead of having to trinket? Your "facts" are flawed around the wrong basis of PVP in this game.

There's nothing wrong with warriors right now and are pretty strong in the current meta game of PVP, pert had some good link showcasing just this earlier in the thread. After the patch remains to be seen but gear will go up and warriors strive on the gear upgrades just like previous expansions. Your class is fine, maybe practice some more and maybe you'll outcome will be better.

EDIT: Then I got to reading the rest, oh dear me. ó.ó

There are achievement titles that have suggested something similar for a while now with the Black and White (Princes). It's all about strategy, the bigger game, us all being pawns in the larger (Titan/Old God?) game etc etc).

And it all fits very nicely with a Yin Yang duality thing... which is very Panda.

Mists of Pandaria - Page 13 Empty Re: Mists of Pandaria

Post by Guest Thu Jan 17, 2013 1:05 pm

I have half-changed my mind about Pandaria after questing through most of it.

It's better than Cataclysm, in terms of the story line itself and the flavor of the story line, it's not better than Wrath of the Lich King.

In terms of the way the story line is brought forward and the questing system, it's a vast improvement.

It's also very easy going, the xp seems just to.. fly by.

All in all, it's better than Cataclysm, some of the game mechanics are a vast improvement to the endless grinds of before. But the story line is not what made this expansion nor the lore that came with it. I stand by the feeling that Pandaren and the Island is a bit of a Disney joke.

Let us see what PvP is like at 90.

Shocked I personally feel the 85-90 leveling is slow and horrible, nearly as horrible a grind as TBC was.

Even if the story is good.

i am on my 4th leveling now.. I can definatly agree that leveling is very slow.. however the only zone that realy gives me the shivers leveling wise is the a bugs life zone
( ^.^ )
that area reminds me far to much of some of the wrath areas with wrath being my most hated expansion of all of them.

Northrend is at least very fast. :p

I kind of dislike the 85-90 leveling process as well, just 4 instances, the questing gets boring as well after you've completed the quests with various characters, there are not a great deal of zones to choose from... And leveling through BGs provides waaay too little EXP, unless Alterac Valley is Call to Arms. It just seems to take forever... It certainly did not feel this lengthy to get from 80-85 in Cataclysm.

(Not to mention I have an actual phobia for grasshoppers... I can stand the cartooney mantid for a certain amount of time, but after that I pretty much reach my limit and kind of want to scream. I hate the critters ones even more as they look more real.)

By the way, has anyone seen the rogue Season 13 pvp set yet? Can't find it anywhere.

When I was leveling the monk, 83-85 was the most enjoyable hour in my life. I think I did the entire 80-85 content in like 3 hours (the first 2 levels took an hour, then an hour more for Deepholm(fuck that zone) and then I bought full MOP greens and had like ilevel 377 gear at 83 and it was so glorious). MOP zones were decent first time through, pretty meh second time and I have a feeling that when I come back and level my rogue I'll hate it to pieces..

I have 3 90s gearing up, and an 86 that I just deleted.

Being a Cata - boy(who never actually played through cata zones when they were current) I must say that the leveling in MoP is relatively fast and can be done in tandem while gearing up at least a main.
With rest bonus and everyday doing your random dung you can get to 90 relatively fast: it took two/three weeks on my first char, focusing on him around two hour a day, and without random dung. That way, at 90 was already ready to grind dung and scenarios, and I had still a zone to make. The only flaw is that the content is terribly scaled, and you feel the need to complete a zone before getting to the next one, for rep and such. The story is well delivered, issue is the story itself which is, though fun, not as much heroic as it should or could be. Another flaw, the fact that the instances are way not enough for 5 levels. I don't get why some of the heroics haven't a normal version.

Can't say much about Outland and Northrend, or even Cata, considering that I haven't actually leveled through them, being the exp needed to get to 85 completely nerfed.
