The Jade Fist Campaign - 10-16 December.
The Jade Fist Campaign
(Map credits for Moglim, TTH)
(Map not updated since 16/12. Any damage made or barricades built have probably been repaired/removed in a week or two)
Map Details
Red - Horde control
Yellow - Neutral control
Blue - Alliance control
Black - Sha infested.
Crates & Zeppelin - Supply routes.
Bamboo - resource, practically found everywhere.
Mining pick - Mine, resource. Jade, stone and minerals. Mostly jade. (More mines can be dig by players)
Bridges - strategic resource (green hue for 'unguarded')
Fountain - Den of Sorrow: Healing waters, resource. Requires cleansing of restless spirits.
Spear & Shield - Constructed fortifications, barricades
Cogwheels - "Mimiron's Fury"
Frostwyrm - Necromancer Drustai's Frostwyrm
Canonball - Siege weapons, harpoon guns, balistaes.
Map Additions
Mimiron's Fury is a modified alliance battleship, owned by Tjib the Senator of Innovation. A lot of the cannons have been removed so it has a significantly smaller amount of firepower than normal. One mast has been removed and a steam engine system installed at the back of the ship. The space previous taken by the mast have been turned into a refueling/repair station for two scouting gyrocopters. The gyrocopters themselves have no weapons. What is inside the ship is still unknown, although Hozen, both dead and alive (prisoners) have been moved into the ship. The ship escaped to the sea in face of the orcish charge on the port.
Frostwyrm! Necromancer Drustai have sent her minion to lay waste on the Horde. Dangerous and magically warded, the Wyrm wreck havoc at Strongarm Airstrip and brought down all Zepplins docked there. The wyrm got brought down by Shatterskull Marauders and Orcs of the Red Blade when it laid siege on Honeydew Village.
Steelfist Overlook is a small, hidden camp up in the mountains just south of Grookin Hill. The camp have no fortifications, relying on staying undetected for protection. It is a place no Alliance soldier would wish to be stationed right now, with the barricade fallen.
Nectarbreeze Orchard have been fortified by hastily construed wooden barricades by Shado-pan and the Order of the Cloud Serpent. The skies above are patrolled by War Serpents and on the ground level the Shado-Pan have set up their white tents. A few "Grumpy foreigners not welcome!" signs have been put up during the night.
Bridge between Four Winds and Jade Forest have been destroyed. The Damn luckily still holds, and repairs have been started to rebuild the bridge.
Alliance Barricade have been constructed straight in the face of the blockade of the Shado-pan, preventing the Pandaren to flee south.
Campaign Status - (Updated 18/12 16:50)
The Campaign have ended. The Horde came out Victorious.
The campaign started on the 10th day with a Horde clashing straight against the Alliance close to Pearlfin village. Following the fight, the Horde split due of disagreements between the Red Blade orcs and the Shatterskull Warband about honor. The Alliance made a push into the zone starting at the 11th day and blocked a supply route between Jade Forest and Four Winds with barricades. Establishing a camp right on the nose of the Horde, the Alliance was certain of their victory... until the Shatterskulls returned on the zone, to crush the rumored barricade. A tough battle was fought, but the Alliance got eventually pushed away from their position. As their final act, they detonated the bridge to make sure the Horde had no use of it.
Archmage Drustai, an Alliance aligned rogue Necromancer unleashed her Frostwyrm the same night against Horde zeppelins stationed at Strongarm Airstrip. Creating terrible destruction, the wyrm retreated to the mountains only to lay siege on Honeydew Village where Horde was stationed the night following. The Horder however were prepared! Armed with balistaes, barbed harpoons and tethers, the Shatterskulls Marauders and Orcs of the Red blade pulled the beast down. Regardless of its countless wardings and defenses the beast eventually fell, only achieving to unite the Horde before a common threat.
Alliance still recovering and a gap left by flawed defense tactics, the Horde made its way through the Alliance lines the final day and laid siege on Paw'don Village and Garrosh'ar, which had been cleared of the Sha and used as a port by the Alliance. Eventually forced to retreat by the threat of coastal bombardment by Alliance ships, the Horde still struct a blow on the Alliance and established a dominant position over the Jade Forest.
But the War have merely started...

- About the Campaign:
Operation: Jade Fist
With a foothold established into the shores of Krasarang Wilds a part of the Alliance turn their attention to Jade Forest, aiming to root out the Horde presence and claim valuable resources to turn the war on the other front on their favor. Such attempt does not come without risks, and the Alliance may risk heavy losses and what foothold they have in the area.
---
The Jade Fist Campaign is one week long RP-PvP Campaign, located in Jade Forest. The Campaign will start by the Alliance initiative. The War Council meetings will be used to set forth the chain of events, sounding the Call to Arms, those who not already in Pandaria moving there and preparing for the push against the Horde.
The Campaign is itself led purely based on In-Character decisions. There is no pre-set "plan" how things will turn out. Cunning strategies developed by the leaders and individual alike (see points below) define the outcome of the Campaign.
Roleplayed Actions
During the Campaign player creativity is strongly encouraged, as it may affect the outcome. Characters got the permission to use ships to travel along the coast, build and employ siege weapons on strategical locations and bottlenecks, create magical rituals to alter the landscape, arrange a gyrocopter raid on enemy forces or anything they may come up with. One requirement however apply.
Any larger roleplayed action must be communicated beforehand with the event organizers. Why? Our main objective is to prevent out-of-character drama and make sure the experience is enjoyable for everyone. We will mainly limit actions that can't be countered, like Theramore Mana-Bomb v2, and some actions that would change the world to drastically. Blowing up a small bridge is okay, bringing down an entire mountain is not.
On top of that, we must keep the map updated, and for that we need to be informed.
*Roleplayed actions during PvP Combat are discouraged, because these two use completely different mechanics that doesn't really work together. Some actions may be done beforehand, between rounds or after, but not during.
The Map
The map is used to mark faction control zones, Sha-infested areas and anything of importance. We are limited by the game mechanics, and can not physically alter the game-world, but we can mark "additions" to the map and treat them IC. Lumber-camps, Mines, Destroyed bridges, Past & present fields of battle, Ships & their positions. Anything goes.
The Sha
While the Sha is an important factor to consider when on the ground of Pandaria, each player got the freedom to decide themselves how to play it out.
Here is a resource for those who'd like to know more of the Sha.
(Thanks for Drustai for writing it)
Native interference
Paozi, the the guild-master of < Blooming Lotus > from the Alliance will act as coordinator for the native "interference".Paozi wrote: "We're still working on the details, but the gist of it is that we'll be inhabitang a Pandaren village during the 10 days the campaign will take, most likely to protect the neutral pandaren citizens from getting involved in the escelating conflict. One could imagine playing with the problems of neutrality by, for example, being presented with the moral dilemma of having to refuse/accept wounded Alliance soldiers knocking on the gate, and dealing with the consequences!
So, basicly, at the "core" I want to make a "place" (Like there will be Horde and Alliance hubs) where players can interact with the neutral faction, to add an extra element of depth to the conflict never before seen in these sort of events."
So who can participate?
Anyone who wish to Roleplay, providing that they've read the above. Individuals may simply show up on the place, but in case of larger groups we'd prefer a notification beforehand.
- Campaign Rules:
- Acknowledge that we Roleplay on a High-level zone. Gankers can and will happen, that is a part of RP-PvP servers. Call IC / WPvP guild reinforcements in case it turns into a problem.
- No "Rage-whispers" in any case if you get killed by non-roleplayers. As you can see, Gankers delight hearing angry rant. Please, avoid provoking them further.
- Non-RP'er WPvP'er attacks are recommended to be treated as IC, either as a player of Sha-possessed wildlife, for the sake of immersion. We are in a War-zone after all.
- PvP gear is strongly recommended.
- No Flying mounts during fights.
- No Combat ressing unless stated* (*On small-scale skirmishes combat ressing should be avoided, large-scale allowed)
- Numbers of people per fight will be balanced, to have even sides and ensure both sides having fun. You may be asked to wait for your turn. No-one enjoys being stomped by numbers.
*If you see someone breaking the rules it is not the end of the world. Please remember that the intention is to have fun and small meaningless things and mistakes are best to left alone. If larger, take it to the organizers.- Acknowledge that we Roleplay on a High-level zone. Gankers can and will happen, that is a part of RP-PvP servers. Areyah Conover, Minister of Defense of Stormwind, has sent a letter regarding matters of neutrality to the Horde High Command in Pandaria, the Three Hammers, the Shado-Pan, and additionally forwarded to the Night Elven emissary in the event they choose to participate in the campaign. To Horde High Command on Pandaria; the Shado-Pan; Marshal Gilran Steelfist of the Three Hammers; Emissary Calisar Ravencrest of the Night Elves. From Commodore Areyah Conover, Minister of Defense of Stormwind.
FRIDAY, Dec. 7th. [29]
War in Pandaria has erupted suddenly and violently. It has caused incalculable damage to Pandaren territory and people as a result of physical devastation and sha manifestation. With reinforcements of both Alliance and Horde arrived and the war accelerating, the threat of further damage to non-essential targets is greatly increased.
Therefore, Alliance Command offers the following proposition: A meeting between leaders of all three factions, in neutral ground, to discuss the establishment of laws of war. Intent of such laws would be to minimize threat to neutral Pandaren settlements on the Pandarian continent and may additionally include discussion on magical and alchemical weapons of mass destruction and the treatment of prisoners of war. These laws shall apply only to conflict on the Pandarian continent, though may be extended to conflicts beyond its borders if agreed upon by all parties involved.
If accepted, it is suggested that the Shado-Pan Monastery or Temple of Jade Serpent, or an equivalent location chosen by the Shado-Pan, be used as neutral meeting ground.
This war is between Alliance and Horde. Not Pandaren. Rules must be put in place so as to prevent damage to non-combatants.
Commodore Areyah Conover
Minister of Defense of Stormwind

The Horde War Council was held.
Agreed general tactic.
Honeydew Village temporary base.
Diplomats were sent to meet neutral Pandaren.

Alliance:To Kozgugore Feraleye, Chieftan of the Red Blade. From Commodore Areyah Conover, Minister of Defense of Stormwind.
SATURDAY, Dec. 8th. [29]
Chieftan Feraleye,
Your condition of no more than one personal guard be brought is accepted. Weapons may be brought, but the Shado-Pan will confiscate them for the course of the meeting.
The Shado-Pan have stated their preference for the Temple of Jade Serpent as the meeting ground. The day shall be Monday, at eight in the evening.
Commodore Areyah Conover
Minister of Defense of Stormwind
10/12 - Monday:
- Map:
The Horde forces suffered from internal conflict afterwards. Shatterskull marauders and the Orcs had disagreements, one to fight with "Honor" while another pillages. Shatterskulls may yet remain in the field, but separate from the other Horde forces.
11/12 - Tuesday:
- Map:
-Alliance and Horde clashed for the control of Mogu relics at the Terrace of Ten Thunders. The Horde emerged victorious, sending the Alliance to a shameful retreat! (Wargames, WSG)
-The Bridge between Valley of the Four Winds and The Jade Forest have been claimed and fortified by the Alliance. Walls of sharpened bamboo and soldiers guard the bridge, shooting at the Horde on sight but let the neutral denizen of Pandaria pass.
12/12 - Wednesday:
- map:
-The barricade was further fortified and the Alliance begun constructing a camp in the mountains south of Grookin Hill.
-Den of Sorrow was explored by an Alliance group, after its rumored healing waters, only to have locked inside by a Horde sniper and finding Sha spirits wanting to devour their souls. Shado-pan appeared to combat the awakened Sha and inform the utterly demolished group that the power of the water had waned away long ago and their search being a waste of time.
-Greatest minds of the Horde gather in the Arcane Conclave, developing nefarious plans to strike the Alliance with the use of Arcane.
13/12 - Thursday:
- Map:
-Patrols of Horde and Alliance have roamed the roads, but with little luck with running to eachother.
-Horde have set up traps into the forest. Mind your steps!
-Alliance have scouted and set up a mine. The stone and jade is now used to bolster the War efforts.
-Mimiron's Fury, the Ship of Senator Tjib, Senator of Innovation of Ironforge Senate have arrive on Pandaria. There seems to be some sort of preparation of devices going on there but it all seems very secretive.
-Necromancer Drustai have sent her Frostwyrm to lay waste on the Horde. The Wyrm will attempt to frostbomb Strongarm Airstrip and bring down any Zepplins currently docked there. If victorious, it will then move on to Honeydew (with no regard for civilians. Woops).
14/12 - Friday:
- Map:
-Alliance scouts and Shatterskulls clashed, eventually forcing the Horde warband to retreat.
-The "Battle for the Barricade!" was fought for the control of the Alliance-built barricade between Valley of the Four Winds and Jade Forest. The Horde emerged victorious, but the Alliance played out a cheap trick and blew up the Bridge.
-Necromancer Drustai's Frostwyrm laid waste to the Horde controlled Strongarm Airstrip and demolished the zeppelins docked in there soon after the Horde had made their way back to Honeydew. The Wyrm is now to turn its attention on Honeydew Village and the Horde stationed there.
-Shado-pan and the Order of the Cloud Serpent have barricaded Nectarbreeze Orchard. Due of the Alliance violating the pact, the Pandaren now denied passage of Alliance and Horde alike through any Pandaren settlement.
-The Horde in Honeydew Village have begun constructing siege weapons, including ballistas and harpoon launchers, in preparation for the next attack.
-Senator Tjib has been moving Hozen prisoners and Hozen corpses to Mimirion's Fury, for unknown reasons.
15/12 - Saturday:
- Map:
-"Operation: What Orchard?" is now in effect! The Alliance built a new barricade to prevent the neutrals to leave south. A mortal team was placed on a hill (later destroyed by the Shado-pan, after the shooting of a Pandaren turtle travelling the road) with orders to shoot anything moving the northern road. Alliance airdropped medicine, food supplies and flyers to warn the pandaren not to leave their homes in fear of reigning fire down on them.
-The Horde defended Honeydew Village against the Frostwyrm of Necromancer, bringing the unholy monstrosity down with barbed bolts and tethers. After a tough fight, the Shatterskull Marauders and the Orcs of the Red Blade brought the beast down. However, its frozen heart was stolen by a Kro'kron Loyalist goblin for building a weapon of mass-destruction.
-The Horde siege weapons were dismantled after the fight against the Wyrm and sent to their meant destinations.
16/12 - Sunday:
- Map:
Gilran: "They may have won the battle, but certainly not the War."

Excellent! I've been hoping for a reason to have the regiment go to Pandaria!
Fantastic addition! There should be no reason for our roleplay to be shat upon.

For the Alliance sided players, you can expect a War Council to be held a week before the OOC date of the campaign. The time and date will be announced in the near future.
And great job with putting this together, Skarain! Well done!

How will the Sha or native interference play out?
I volunteer to act as a coordinator for the native "interference". Both as guild-master of an Alliance pandaren guild and as the player of a Shado-pan character, this role would naturally fall to me, except if there are any others who wish to take responsibility. If there are: great! I'd love to work together with you.
But yes, you can count on the Blooming Lotus to support this event: though maybe not in a way you might expect!

Re: The Jade Fist Campaign - 10-16 December.
Currently looking for someone who'd be willing to write a guide: "How to roleplay out the Sha", seeing how important factor it will be once more people set foot on Pandaria. I am sadly not that greatest of writers myself.
If you're interested for the task, poke me either here or ingame.
EDIT: Drustai took the task.

More bloody battles for the Imperium to taint their tabards in crimson.
Edit: 10th sounds grand ^^

Question to all the guilds participating:
When do you think you will RETURN to the real world and out of the zoo called Pandaria?
I am just wondering how long the organized fighting is going to last etc
