Re: [A] Trial: The necromancers "helpers" (preliminary date/time)
Because I strongly feel I did nothing wrong. I played with the cards I was dealt, this was the resulting outcome.Quin wrote:Go on justifying this behavior.
This is not to god-game my way out of punishment, I know that whatever comes next will be even heavier on my character.
But she was scared and cornered, and had a means of escape at her disposal. In desperation, she took it, regardless of consequence.
But I suppose this is what happens when this many people are involved in a play that rolled out through random RP. Everyone sets parameters according to the information they are fed about events, and when those parameters are then broken because not every piece of information is in place, people get angry. I understand that, and that is why I am trying to explain myself.
But now surfaces a more deeply rooted difference, different groups of players having a different interpretation of the game world we live in. Some like the whimsical, magical aspects, and some try to reject in in favor of a more gritty realistic fantasy universe. I am in the first group, you are in the second.
EDIT: Monrena, please stop "helping." He can be as offensive as he wants, his tone is not relevant to the discussion.

I'll throw my thoughts in.
- People need to take responsibility for their actions, if people want to go against the law then be good enough to not get caught.
- Warcraft laws are loosely based around medieval times (I'm not historian). If you spoke out back then I'd imagine something not too dissimilar would happen.
- When people go out of their way to plan something like a trial. Try have a little respect. You're there to observe. Like courtrooms have always been and still are.
I might add to this but yeah. My thoughts.

Why is there always loads and loads of rage in these threads after each trial? Does people really have such a huge OOC beef with the way they are done or do you guys just take IC discussions OOC? When there's OOC shitstorms I get discouraged when it comes to taking the time to do these trials...
On the topic of Delidah, no matter if we agree to the way the escape was done or not there is consequence in the form of added crimes to the list and a wanted notice dead or alive for her. Get out there, find her and claim your reward ladies and gentlemen! RP or gtfo.

I appriciate what you are doing with the trials, Braiden. The Baron was one of the only sensible characters around.
On the subject of OOC:
This is an out of character discussion about if the course of action certain characters have taken would be possible in the gameworld, and why those actions where taken. I won't get the chance to do this in character, but due to the amount of controversy I felt the need to explain it out of character, anyway.
If I would try to seek certain characters out to explain what happoned, she would either get her head bashed in or the characters she would explain herself to would simply not be knowledgeable enough in character to be able to understand her explanation.
Besides, this forum is the platform for OOC discussions, isn't it? If not here, where else would those who want to have these discussions, have them?

The event happened and it gets commented. Why do we have to pretend its all sunshine and quality rp rather then actually talk on a forum?I recommend an admin or mod cleans up this thread.

I get what you mean, I just tried to suggest that there is RP to be had even if it's going around in circles.Quin wrote:"Go out there and repeat last week"On the topic of Delidah, no matter if we agree to the way the escape was done or not there is consequence in the form of added crimes to the list and a wanted notice dead or alive for her. Because OOC drama doesn't encourage RP.

I agree with Quinn though. It's good to at least give everyone a change to express their feelings about what's going on, and make sure everyone who is interested is informed to the best of everyone's ability.
If I caused any OOC grudges, I would rather at least attempt to resolve them, rather then let it fester.

Weighing in as a mod here--
Sometimes people will be upset about an event or situation and need to vent, and that's fine. I think it's inappropriate to delete posts just because they're 'drama.' But do keep the conversation at least somewhat civil and leave the personal insults out of it (and thank you to those who are already doing so).
