Not too sure what I think about this idea. There are decent arguments for and against it and I've found myself agreeing with both in the past.

Big bad guys have worked well before, granted. But... not only is it a lot of work, you can also be shut down quickly by being seen/caught by those you'd really rather weren't there to do it.

To be honest, I don't know! I think we may be past the time for "big baddies" as it's been done quite a lot here.

How much more awesome it would have been if out of no where a plot twist turned up, Rufias being evil. Naw...screw OOC spoilers.

I always approve of characters you are suggesting here however. Just -try- it, without OOCly securing to succeed and imo keep alot of stuff in the dark, and reveal to us the unforseeable climax. Or something like that...

If you manage to bring something unique to the "big baddies" concept however, it'll surely become interesting.

The Wraithlord isnt gone, he's just on 'ice' while a super-mega-evil-mystery-subtle-plot is worked out.

Although thinking about this... If braiden actually gets the minister of defence position...

he really has immense political power and he already has a rather shady character to say the least...

If it doesn't work out then he's lost the character he could have kept going with his original idea for it?

Also ya, haven't there been loads of corrupted ministers before. We're not saying no just for the sake of saying no.

If need be, Demoren can fill in that role, he's recently been killed IC and a"Necromancer" type ressurection would give him a great reason to release his pent up hatred for humanity as a whole and as for the killing thing, Demo has always had an overly powerful sense of mercy.

I have to agree with Ave there. Through all the years I've played in DB there's always been these "evil" gnomes literally -everywhere-. Okay, we get it, guise, you're a gnome, cool beans, but please, calm down with the oh so evil stuff. Not all gnomes are evil.

We don't have much of a gnome community on this server however, the cartel is the guild with the most active gnomes to my knowledge but i wouldn't define us as "evil", morally bankrupt, not evil.

If you want more not "evil" gnomes, help Xildon out with the science institute or something.
