Has the question of "The Shadow" been adressed? I ask this mostly because it is something I am very interested in OOCly, since there seems to be a myriad of variations and very few consistency between them besides, you know, the actual shadow magic. There's the "Forgotten Shadow" of the Forsaken, the "Auchenai Death Priests" of the Draenei, and I believe Humans all together do not like shadow magic very much at all. Its a pretty big mess, and most likely guaranteed to lead to very fiery discussions if you have enough opposite opinions.

I understand that there is a difference between the forgotten shadow and the shadow that priests use. But im not 100% sure (but really need to learn!)

The Forgotten Shadow is a religion with doctrines and such, the shadow priests use is more akin to an element (some say it actually is an element, I myself am not to sure.) it's 'just an' energy... Most simply put.

Well, yes and no. The priests using it are following the the Forgotten Shadow's doctrines (or doctrines similar to it). Just the Forgotten Shadow (and other shadow faiths) uses shadow energy, because it is the energy that most accurately subscribes to their belief system. Razz

It's like how you have both the Holy Light (the faith with all its doctrines and such) and the Light (the divine energy the faithful actually use).

The event at Tyr's Hand was fun, so thanks for organizing it! It was a shame I missed a lot of it due to rl stuff suddenly coming up, but I enjoyed it regardless! I am a bit sad the night elves were not invited to this religion fest ... almost insulted in fact!

Why would we wish to bother with discussions of their inferior and untrue faith, Shae? If they wish to deceive themselves with their lies, then I say let them! They will all feel sorry for not revering the Mother Moon when they die!

Actually... the elves are very much welcome to attend. But just like with the gnomes, we haven't extended a specific open invitation due to a lack of a church of Light.

Shadow is sadly not going to be discussed yet . It is a very touchy topic, and actually it has not that much to do with the Light. HOWEVER I think Shadow may form an interessting debate-topic for the Arcane Conclave. Smile
