“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
...Suffering...

Re: [A-H EVENT] The Blade of Compassion
Day five - The night has been long. I have had no sleep with the idea of having the blade in our possesion now... We've found it... Almost too late though. We managed to take it away from the Forsaken. But anyway... let me start from the beginning.
Cold afternoon, Hearthglen, we gather arround our already prepared mounts to leave the village, with Alterac as our next destination. Arriving upon the snowy region, we encounter the first remnants of the Syndicate, that came against us as soon as we enter their territory. We traveled to Strahnbrad, with the self formed hope of finding something that could tell us, after what we found inside the Inn of Andorhal, where the blade could possibly be... Once again, the Light opened the way for us, curiously giving us exactly what we needed. Khendran found, yet another page of the mysterious diary we first came across weeks ago. How the first pages reached our hands, and now one of them is here as well? I do not reach to understand. But those matters are not of importance. What was of true importance, was what the letter said itself. The location of the Blade! At that moment, I couldn't believe our luck, it gave us the exact location where it had been hidden, along with a strange explanation of why it had been hidden there... We made our way directly to the Growless Cave, a cave surrounded by yetis, where the blade was supposed to be hidden, only to see that our luck had already changed...
Forsaken, they doubled our numbers. They were there for the Blade, there is or was no doubt. I do not know how they knew of its location though... But there was no possible way we would retreat and let them have the sword without fighting for it first... We managed our way inside the cave, having ourselves protected against their higher numbers, dividing and trapping some of them inside the cave, and using the stone walls as natural defenses to avoid being flanked. It was then when I came across what now keeps my soul saddened, and my body weakened. I could not believe what was right before me... Garodin Silversmith, my Arathorian cousin... was one of them. From what I managed to know afterwards, he perished not so long ago on an operation, at Tirisfal, against the very ones he forms part of now. He spoke, with hatred, of how he believed that his Ancestors had betrayed him, allowing others to take his body and soul to serve in the undeath. He swore that he would hunt and have the ones that believe in such Arathorian traditions pay for spreading, what he now felt was nothing but lies... The Forsaken will pay for what they have done to him. He never was a man free of sins, but forcing someone to undeath, to fight for a cause that was lost the very moment it began, will be punished. I will do it myself if given the chance, Garodin, I will give you the rest you have already gained, and that has been wrongly taken from you, making it as quick as possible. This, I testify.
Having my cousin against me, did not cloud my mind though. I took the blade in my possesion, and forced our way out of the cave, using as hostage the Forsaken that was in contact with the sword before I reached it. All of them moved away and gave us the chance we needed to escape. Clearly, who I took as our shield, was someone of true importance to them. We reached our horses with the hostage still, but escaping the cave did not mean at all that the danger was over. We had to swiftly leave the region as soon as possible, and so we did. Riding south-east we made our way, first towards Arathi, and afterwards to the Wetlands. At the very tunnels that divide this last region, and the Dwarven region of Loch Modan we encountered the Forsaken, once again. There was no doubt they were the same, but I question myself... How did they manage to reach that position before us? Our steeds moved faster than any other would, and I am certain that the Forsaken did not have flying beasts with them at the moment we encountered them... It escapes my understanding. So once again, we were forced to fight them, we made our way across the tunnels, fighting who ever stood in our way, and eventually we made it successfully. I am clearly surrounded by powerful men of honor, that will fight and defeat what ever stands in our way.
Now, at the Mountain-city of Ironforge, finally safe, we will rest for the night, heal our wounds, and tomorrow we will find who ever we need to make sure the Blade is destroyed, and the threat it supposes, is gone.

Re: [A-H EVENT] The Blade of Compassion
Day six - The blade... I can feel it... I cannot believe the stories were true... The very sword itself pulls what ever energy is arround it to itself. I can feel how the Light energy I use as my strength is pulled away from me when ever I am near by it... We have to get rid of it.
Morning in the mountain-city. The forge has been rumbling all night as if it was a lion roaring against my ear. I admire the dedication the Dwarven Kingdom, and the entire race has for the war machinery. Waking up in such a city, makes you realize how the Alliance prepares itself for war in every single moment each of its nations breath. The work to produce such a large amount of resources to keep up with the expectatives needed in war is so inmense that the turns at the forge never end at any single moment, not a single rest during the night. May the Light see to have us completely prepared in case we are in the real need of it... Seeing the entire mountain-city come to action once again could make any man stay there and simply watch during the entire and large duration of the day, but I have an objective... I must meet who I have in mind in order to achieve the goal we are here for, Thane Angos Thunderbeard must and is going to be found.
Long was the search on my own, for a moment I actually forgot how Dwarves are... How foolish of me. If you ever need to find a Dwarf, it is simple, visit the closest bar and ask there. Luckily, I did not have to go anywhere after I realized such. The powerful Dwarf stood right before me, sat by one of the tables of the bar, enjoying what would for sure be one of the mighty and widely known dwarven beers... I believe people think wrong of these cheerful fellas. The dedication they put to what they do, even if it is just based in making drinks, drinking them, or fighting, is superior to what I have seen anywhere. Their personal goals are just different to the rest. Once he lifted his gaze to meet with mine, he inmediately identified me and stood up to welcomed me to take a seat by him. The preocupation could be clearly noticed in his face. He knew that a group such as ours would not be at the city, enjoying its goods, for no reason. I took the seat and directly began with what had brought us to his presence. He had heard long lost stories about the blade and what had happened to it, that saved time, precisely what we lacked in that moment most. The sword had to be destroyed, and so I made him know and notice. The very threat it supposes does not only affect the humanity, but the very nations that stay in the way of the Forsaken as enemies. Thane Thunderbeard understood that perfectly, and he took no hesitation to attempt to end with that very threat by destroying the blade. He lifted his large and powerful looking war-hammer and slammed it directly against the blade I had presented to him on top of the table. Splinters and large broken pieces of wood flew randomly across the entire room as the lightning enhanced weapon hit the corrupt blade. The Dwarf, atonished, stared at the sword. Not a single scratch could be seen on it, the only visially effect we could notice on it, was an increasing strengh of the energy glow the blade gave away where it had been impacted. The entire strength of the slam had just been driven across it and against the table, destroying it almost instantly by the powerful blow. As... I sadly had already expected all along... The simple strength could not be used to destroy a weapon that was previously touched by the Light, and now enhanced and protected with the dark and captivating energies of the Shadow. It had to be destroyed in any other way...
A solution soon came up. The blade could be obviously thrown to the heat of the mighty Dwarven forge. That indeed sounded like a proper solution. On our feet we stood and we made ourselves ready to accomplish our goal. During the walk over to the forge, I could not stop thinking on what would happend if we did not achieve success on our objective. The very thought of such weapon, in Forsaken hands, that acted as a banner for them to fight in an endless and blood-thirsty slaughter to achieve their objectives, made me shiver... I was then, even again, certain that the blade had to be completely wiped out.
Upon reaching the forge, the Dwarves worked without disturbance, non-stop, all arround us as we walked past them. The war and its efforts begin and last as long as there is someone who is able to create a weapon, and someone who is ready to wield it against its foes. Even thought it saddens me to see so much attention driven to what I still do not consider the true enemy, what fractions of them are doing cannot remain un-attended. We finally reached the place that was supposed to be the end of the threat we had at our hands. A Dwarf received us upon arrival. Sweating from the hard work and heat of the forge, and almost completely black due to the carbon all over his skin, he respectfully bowed. The orders, and what was expected from him were instantly told by the Thane. Right away, the Dwarf took action and moved himself to me. With his hands held towards me, the blade was quickly given to his possesion, and he proceeded towards the forge he was working at. Carelessly he threw the blade into the the fiery liquid contained in it, only to watch, incomprehensibly how the blade itself floated, avoiding for some reason the total destruction. Those present there, including myself now, could not believe how it could even be possible. The sword just simply stood there, without sinking, apparently unaffected. What we could see from it though was that the purple energy arround it was pulsing heavily and constantly now, the only thought that comes to my mind to explain such, is that the entire shadow seal and energies on it were working to avoid the blades destruction. The Thane instantly ordered the Dwarf to pull the sword out of the forge. The laborer, taking a huge and industrial pliers reached towards it and placed it away from the forge. Thunderbeard was visibly pissed with such, and he instantly drew his hammer once again. Letting rage take over him, he gathered as much energy and strength as he could muster and hit the blade with a such powerful slam I have seen very little people able to do. The sword, due to the combined blow and the weakness effects the forge had had onto it shattered into pieces right before our eyes. The blade was now divided into, still large, six pieces and the hilt. Our eyes instantly came across all of them. The Thane then looked at me and said -Noo tha´ was a fel oh a strong blade. Ye got et broken now though!-. Indeed, we had advanced, but this was not enough... Upon having the sword broken into pieces, something came to my mind. If there was no way to actually have it destroyed, then there only stood a chance left in all of this. These pieces, had to be hidden completely away of sight and reach of the Forsaken. The Thane understood almost instantly when I raised my gaze to him. He took one of them, once it had cooled down, and gave me his word that it would be taken to a place where it would be protected and properly hidden.
Our mision, was now a different one. We took the remaining shards and hilt, after thanking the Thane and the several Dwarves near for their unmeasurable assistance, and left to discuss what and how we should act next. Upon some time trying to come with the proper solution, we stood clear in the thought that each and every single one of these shards had to be given away to different and powerful organizations of the Alliance that would lend their services to protect and look after such items. I will not write the accorded destinations of them in case this ever falls in the wrong hands... We cannot afford to risk such operation.
Each of the men that so bravely accompany me and I now had a task. In groups, they left to their assigned destinations and objectives, as I did myself. I will expect news from them any time soon, as it was said. Now, with the pieces of the Blade of Compassion on the move, we only have one thing left, pray to the Light that our objective is seen to achieve success, each of the pieces arrive to their destination safely, and they are hidden and set under protection.

Re: [A-H EVENT] The Blade of Compassion
Journal no. Seventeen. Page 456. Chapter fourteen. The Shard of Compassion. Gilnean Delivery.
Written down by Arathoran in case I decrease before my duty is complete, and I have returned to Eloresh with the news. hopefully someone with a little more knowledge than the forsaken will find this journal and bring it to him.
So there I was... Deep in the wild forest of Silverpine. I managed to slay a few of the Forsaken scouts and war bands which roamed the area before I reached Greymane's Wall. I can still remember seen it while it was being constructed, that was the last time I saw Uther and many of the other Silver hand members... It shadowy time back then... Arthas had just returned from Northrend. I was on my way to greet him in Lordaeron but I was too late, if I had just been there in time, perhaps I could have saved my father's cousin, Terenas Menethil, I could hear the cries of the city's population miles away... A time of sorrow... The ruined walls reminded me of that time, when there was no sight, not even a spark of hope to end the death Arthas brought upon our kingdom.
I entered Gilneas through a large hole in the wall. I reached the Gilnean headquarters before nightfall. A rather fluffy wolf man appeared before me, right before I entered the town. He wanted to know who I was and what I was doing there, I told him it was a matter of the nations every survival, he seemed surprised to see me this far in their land. I told him I was searching for a druid of the Wild, whom name I have promised never to mention.
The Gilnean brought me to the one I was looking for. The druid I searched for wasn't so hard to convince, all I needed to tell him was that it was for his nations protection. I spoke with my most honorable voice one I hadn't used for ages, last time I used that was when I last saw Uther.
I've given the shard to the druid of the wild. I've putted my faith in his powers to protect the shard. His nation... Our nation depends on it.

Oh, my bad.
And yeah, those are wrong. Arath, construction of the wall was started after the Second War, and it was finished before the Third. So, it was already built when Arthas returned from Northrend. Atleast that's what I think I read from Wowwiki/Wowpedia. I might be wrong, I've been wrong alarmingly often recently.

[Eloresh here] Please cut the crap, don't begin a pointless argument especially on an events thread like this one, please. We can all have had a bad day, but these forums are not the place to rant or show how careless-rude we can be. And it does go to all of you, please.
