Bennedict, I really think the problem is the one I mentioend above. IF you still have that it crashes when you try to start a game.
Your game patch and your PDM patch aren't the same. To fix it you basicly need to uninstall, empty your vic 2 folder, reinstall. To be onthe safe side.

Oughta make a seperate thread so it's easier to see when people can play, what countries they play.

If we do make the multiplayer game should we go with a mod game or vanilla? I personally prefer modded since rebels are such a fucking bitch.

So, Started a new Preussia game today. With 1.4 and the latest PDM.
It's verging on 1840 and I've moved up to the forth position in the world and gonna start wresting some states out of Austria's SoI so that I can get closer to the North German federation. Slowly as it might be.
Sadly, in this patch the "Assert Hegemony" wargoal seem's to be lacking, at least at this point in time. Since getting to do it so you got all in one strike basicly infamy free was so tasty.

Ah well, time to abuse the fact that I've got a bigger army than Austria alone, and that France might just join in on my side! Time to slip the dogs of war aye?

Aye in the latest PDM version I think you later get free "Take from sphere of influence" CBs on Austria. Less powerfull but essentially they will do the same thing.

I think I'll wait a bit longer then, hoping to get a CB for bravia or baden. Since not getting infamy is far to powerful.

Aye well it's also worth to throw in a war and take Bohemia + Moravia for sweet industrialism (dat coal and iron and workforce)
Usually you want to occupy ALL of Austria, by making a long occupation you force their military and industrial score to hit rock bottom which usually drops them from GP status (combined with humiliate which is -100 prestige for them) then you can just sphere the rest easily.

So, you're saying that when I war them I should war of humiliate them and just occupy everything?

Humiliate (1,6 infamy) + as much occupation as your war exhaustion allows and then use the take from sphere CB (if availlable) or just take one terroritory.

Usually those are enough to drop them from great power status, you can also try release some nations (such as hungary) release CBs are pretty cheap only 3 infamy per region and are good for weakening opponents (and you don't really want some regions anyways)

It's a fun idea to try turn Austria in to minor power, reduce it to Austria + Bohemia (for example) then Sphere them, and when you wrestle last areas from France to form Germany you also get the remaining Austrian areas to join you.

Looool, I became the 2nd industrial power around 1844-48 as the USA. I didn't research a single industrial technology. That put a smile on my face.
