Rumours are heard in Arathi, especially Strom.

Word claims that the Dortola returned to Strom fairly quickly, her face pale and sickened, demanding the Dank'thar's attention. They set off and returned, immediately doubling the guard posts and telling the scouts to only head out in groups of three instead of a duo. Now that's odd...

"Another wounded... The captain this time, so I heard. That Alliance ship's crew from Theramore has been suffering from quite a few random muggings and assaults since they became part of the city's guards. Wonder if anyone is targeting them..."

"They aren't the only one. The crime rate in Stormwind is going up so quickly that even thieves are robbing other thieves. It is insane. Might move elsewhere if this keeps up; heard Tanaris is nice this time of year."

In duskwood, the locals speak of a howling and roaring in the night, the sounds of fighting to the west of the town. The following morning a grisly find is made, its discovery in turn spreading, the rumour distorting as it goes;

...pool of blood in the middle of the road near the orchard- massive amount, must have been pints and pints, all soaking into the earth-

...Anethionian tabard, tied to this staff, stuck into the bloody ground like a banner, and it were all ripped up and tattered-

...I heard the staff were the Librarian's- the old man, imagine that! killing a helpless old man travelling the roads alone! Dark times, mate, dark times-

....looked like an animal attack, but what animal leaves something like that after? I blame the worgen myself....damn Gilneans, can't be trusted...

The Horde hit sniper's nest before the Talondeep battle. I hear they used magic to get past the guards, and some people are saying that prisoner they had was involved.

Yeah, I've seem many new Magi apprentices, though they all have something in common.. they keep taking my stock without paying! Wine mostly.. I even witnessed one vanish into thin air before attacking some robed guy and trashing one of the tables. Quite annoying. I'd inform the regiment but I don't want to spook the customers.

I understand the chairlady of the Stormwind council is ill. Yes, Rohwyn Leomin, the rather little woman. She hasn't been at the meetings in quite some time, you know. I wonder if she's really ill or if there's something dubious going on. It is politics, after all.

I heard bystanders were either just standing by watching or joined the corrupted kidnappers, can you believe it? Many injuries, some near dead.

’Ey, you heard the guards talking about some Death Knights? There was a riot some time ago; a fight broke out near the pond’s dock, you heard? People are disappearing, and it’s said it’s their leader’s fault. You know that really uncomfortable fella’, in black and green armor with horns? Said he had some frozen constructs with them too... reckon Acherus is involved?

Rumour Progress #2:

'Ey, the guards were hollering about some Death Knights and the riot that's happened some time ago and how their people are disappearing and returning bloodied and broken. Said it's the boss's fault: you know, the two meter tall lad that stares down upon you like -you- were the freak? Seriously, I swear I have heard the guy's armour shriek in torment and anguish. What the fel's going wrong? I'm keeping the damn away: bloody Acherus.

Rumour Progress #3:

Heard the guards told people to stay inside at night? Some Death Knights are patrolling the place like they owned it drawing down the most hardened of veterans: only for them to return broken and so cold they look like ghosts! Bet it's those chilly abominations' faults. The ones that are controlled by the tall maniac that walked the streets a few months ago? Someone should really give Acherus a slap and get them doing something! I barely dare go outside without my kitchen knife!

Antonio Perelli, the known traveling salesman, may be heard to say the following to some of his friends on his journeys:

Magistrate Solomon recruited an assistant. Actually more than an assistant, but another Magistrate to help co-lead the town. I was first suprised, but he certainly knows what he does.

And the people seems to like this Kregstone already. I hope, together, they'll be able to breath life into Lakeshire, to make it bloom once more.

Various people speak of rumours about Worgen in Stormwind, heard mostly amongst the Old Town and Dwarven pubs.

Just like that! They take in all sorts of people into their pack, some not even Worgen! Somethin' bout survival, apparently if ye' hang around near tha' harbour ye' might run into them.

Another rumour circulates, amongst the sickly and wounded.

And there was green light EVERYWHERE! He was standing there, sometimes he wears antlers and sometimes he wears a hood. I'm tellin' you he just appeared from nowhere, an' healed up this poor lil' Gnome! Apparently, if somebody needs help from tha' Harvest Cleric; ye're meant ta' hang green cloth from a lamp post and stand under it.

(Though, it's more likely if you just whisper him.)

The Royal Library? A wrecked bookshelf? Inside the keep? No way!

Oh yes! I saw it this morning! Traces of a fight and everything, a blackened spot on the ground aswell, like some sort of explosive.

There's traces of a small fight in the Royal Library. One bookshelf broken with books on the ground, a little amount of blood and a blackened spot on the ground from a blast, the rest seems fairly untouched.

Overheard by a farm boy in Moonbrook, Westfall

I've been working hard on the farm this summer, something didn't seem right though. The farmers wife seemed spooked or something, they wouldn't let me enter the house this summer either. Something about a visiter or a guest. He's gone now though.. I saw him heading toward Elwynn yesterday. Couldn't see much o' him though, hidden within a dark cloak of sorts he was.

"By the Light, the Kingdom of Stormwind is heading for a military dictatorship. The soldiers of the regiment seem to be 'guarding' the Keep of his Majesty... So either they are keeping us away from the little education one can acquire in this city or they are planning some kind of coup d'état. I wonder if Samian would be suffice as our new Monarch... Peculiar indeed."

"No I heard it was the Minister of Culture, that librarian girl at the Keep, Julia is her name? Apparently she's become so paranoid with her pregnancy and all the ruckuss at the library that she has called for the guards. Silly girl that!"
