I more or less think that people who put their heart and soul into a piece deserve a lot of recognition, it's nothing really to do with how good they are at it. I feel Duchamp did those sort of pieces for the right reason and was sort of mocking modern artists, but that's my own opinion of him as a person.

Art is a broad term but you can't tell me that if someone pisses on the sand and calls it art then you wouldn't be a little pissed off.

Commercial graphic artist, I do this 9-5 everyday for a wage

Which to be honest is part of why this whole debate is so dull to me. Is MODERN ART ART? ARE GAMES ART? IS WRITING ART? AM I ART? IS THAT WOMAN'S ARSE ART? IS ART ART ART ART etc
Whoooo cares, Art is not a qualitative statement! Judge on the merits of each piece, just because someone calls it 'art' or not doesn't make it immediately more worthy!
