Groups Guide
As you may have noticed, there are several groups one can join on this forum. Many of these is due to information that needs to be shared between these groups that does not really concern the rest of the community for the time being. This is not here to split the community, not at all. But to prevent meta-gaming to a certain degree, and also to be able as a member of these groups get information quickly without having to brows through the forum to find it.
How do I join?
There are two very simply ways to get to the Group options page. You can either click on "Groups" at the top of your forum-page, or you can click at any of the Group-names at the bottom. In either way you will end up at a page, where you will see this "This is an open group: click to request membership" [Join Group]
When you join a group your request will be sent to the group Moderator. The Moderator is in charge of knowing whether or not you are indeed part of this group, on one character or another. If he or she is unsure, they will contact you and ask.
What do I do, if I want to join more then one?
Indeed a lot of players have alts that are part of different groups. In this case it is most important that you keep the information you are given on that specific character, else you risk being blamed as a meta-gamer.
That aside there is no problem joining more then one group. However, to keep it nice and clean, the first group you join should be the group connected to the name you carry on the forum. This means that your name will have the color of that group. You can then join other groups depending on what your alts are part of.
These groups, as said before, are here to help different people share information nice and fast, to keep people up to date. So please do join them, if not only for your own sake, but for the others that are active in these groups.
If a group remains inactive for a certain time, it will be discussed whether or not it will be removed.
Requirements to suggest a new group:
* First of all, it has to make any sense. The groups are there to help people keep up to date, not for people to get a fancy name color.
* Remember to explain why you suggest this group. What would it be used for? How many people would be part of this group? Would it be active enough?
* Try to suggest a Moderator for the group. And remember, the Moderator needs to have a good overview of the suggested group. The suggested Moderator won't always be the one ending up with the job, but still, if you have a good suggestion please post it.
* If you have a guild, and want to create a group for it here instead of making a whole new forum for it, that is accepted. You will however not get a group color for the guild itself.
* Suggestions will be made in this thread, do not make new threads about it.
Thank you

Re: Groups Guide
In the process of reforming the group system. For now requests will be set on hold. Feel free to request either way, and it will be dealt with as soon as possible.

Re: Groups Guide
Public announcement:
I will begin moving the racial groups over to their new spots. Try to keep the chatting to a minimum in the racial groups for a while. You can already begin applying for Alliance / Horde groups, depending on which you spend most time at. If you have character of both sides you can sign for both of course.
